Koliba u Dobrého pastiera - penzión a reštaurácia

This cafe offers a great experience and food just as good, my friend’s loved it. I am second time here and I come back next time. The environment is pleasant and the service is great too. The staff is friendly and always on a watch out to help the customer.

This valley is just a great Slovak wonderland with veeeery delicious food and nice service. We enjoyed soups and typical Slovak food: halušky and šúľance. The description of the food: yummy, nebíčko v papuľke ( heaven in the mouth :)) we stoped just for the food, so no clue how is the service or room for accomodations but I believe it is great.

This is an awesome place to visit. The food is delicious I couldn't recommend it enough. Whether you go on your own or with your family you'll have a great time. There's a lot to do.

Fine and good variety of dishes. Great atmosphere and with plenty space. It seems very good maintained building. We ordered soups and main course and everything was very tasty. Reasonable price and located in a very beautiful place. A good place to stop if you are passing by.

4.7 - One of my favorite "Koliba" experiences in the North. Have dined there at least >30 times. Ambience, service and food much better IMO than Koliba Krajinka.

Food has been consistently very good though granted - I usually order from ±3 dishes (halusky/sheep cheese dumplings, bean soup, fried "cheese/ostiepok"). Unfortunately, the last one seems to have been taken off the menu and replaced with more regular fried cheese alternative which is not worth going there for. The others are still great.
Queues happen often, especially in summer months so prepare for that.

I had the best meal of my whole trip here! A traditional Slovak dish that Americans would drool over, slow cooked short ribs that were then crisped on the outside. Oooh! SOOOO good!

The beautiful natural setting just adds to the quiet ambiance. One of the food highlights of my trip.

Spectacular food! Very nice location too (even though we only visited at night). Definitely our favorite restaurant in town, and one of the best we've visited in our trip through Slovakia

Really nice place.. super nice atmosphere. As you can see in the pictures is a huge cabin.. they made their own cheese, beer & bread.. I had the traditional halusky and it was perfect 👍

Amazing food. If you're a hungry alpha male, go for the peceni koleno. However if you're not that much hungry, then consider going for Pierohy with bryndza and bacon. They are 100% mountain cheese, 100% proof. The beer is okay, typical for a small restaurant brewery

27.12.2022 plus:cosy and comfy room,kettle,quiet in night, very tasty restaurant minus:guidance signs to reception are a mess(if to follow them you are perpetually circling around the building) and to be asked at arrival "mistake in booking-its o.k.for you to pay 74 instead of 52 Euros" is already a bit...ridiculous..

Beautiful place to take your family for a great authentic Slovak meal. The interior is quite breathtaking, someone built this building with attention to great detail and respect for tradition. Simply wonderful. Service was fantastic. Despite we arrived shortly before closing tome, there was no hesitation from the staff to serve us fantastic food.
Highly recommend!

This place was one of the nicest discoveries during this summer. Set in beautiful surroundings, the entire complex (hotel, restaurant, pond with their own fish, herb garden, farm, playground, shop, brewery...) is very well-kept, one can see that the owners have put a lot of attention to details and quality of the place. Staff are very pleasant and knowledgeable, parents can enjoy tasty dinner on the terrace while their children are playing in the playground which is right next to it. Easy access from Ruzomberok, well sign-posted. Highly recommended.

Very nice place with historical clothing and appearance. The food is great, and the best are traditionall dumplings with sheep cheese. I have never eaten better ones, than here, much appreciated. Other food was also very good, and the staff was open to any questions or suggestions. There is also a shop where you can buy all kind of Slovak traditionall cheese products, and the staff will open the shop for you, even after closing hours, just ask them. ;-)
Overall experience was great, and the food was awesome.

Very tasty traditional Slovak cuisine.
I especially recommend: Halusky and trout (pstruh). Homemade beer - their own production. Homemade smoked cheese. Meal approx. 15 - 20 EUR per person. Very atmospheric interior - traditional mountain wooden interior. Big free parking. About 3 km from the center of Ruzemberok.

The atmosphere is great in this countryside. The staff is nice and you get the food fast. The food is local no hamburgers etc. I really enjoyed it. They even give you a blanket if you cold. Visited there twice already and enjoyed it each time.

Craft beer, local delicious food, fast service, lots of room to sit with huge outdoor covid-friendly terrace and beatufitul setting in the Cutkovska valley. Perfect for families but also for couples seeking traditional Slovak couisine. Who doesnt like the heavy traditional meals, local fresh trout is also offered. They accept credit cards. Highly recommended!
