Koliba Holica

Last week we visited this charming place in the mountains.
Koliba is placed in a very scenic area, beautifully furnished in country style.
We enjoyed the culinary experience at their restaurant, well prepared meals, estetically arranged on plate, great harmony of spices. Same goes for desserts.
Our biggest compliment to the chef and the waitresses for serving quality food and wine. The staff was attentive, friendly.
There are rooms to rent and we took advantage of this as well. The rooms were cozy, very clean.
I am certain, we will visit this place again.

Our favorite place to eat while vacationing in the area. Family with four adults and two kids. Beautifully decorated with traditional Slovak decor, we enjoyed variety of traditional Slovak dishes and loved them all. Summer lemonades are great, but no ice available. Highly recommend eating here.

The place is very pretty and the service is good. The food was great and plentifull for the price. I had the grilled pork ribs and they were very tastefull and tender.

Overall, it was a very nice place with authentic decor. The service was good and the food was mostly tasty and well prepared. Touhg , some dishes were not at the best. The chicken with mushrooms was a little bit dry, and pork medallions were a bit overcooked.

The food is amazing, I go there every time I drive from Nizke Tatry.

Excellent food, service and beautiful interiors. The pork ribs were grilled perfectly! The pork knee and chicken steaks were done just right. Highly recommended!

This place is so good that we ate here two days in a row. Would definitely recommend this for a typical slovak meal.
Their hearty soups are incredible - the creamy garlic soup was full of cheese and the good sauerkraut with homemade noodles was simply perfect. Actually all the things we tried were fantastic (maybe except the veal schnitzel, that was average). They also have delicious desserts (loved the chocolate stuffed dumplings with nuts). Would happily eat here again.
Extremely fast service. Decent coffee. Lots of vegetarian options, they also had some gluten-free dishes. Lots if parking. Great views.

This place is very traditional, atmosphere is very chill, plenty of visitors from a different countries. Very busy place, but they are taking orders quickly and food is on the table pretty quickly too.

This is an awesome place. We come here for ribs at least once or twice a year - even though we live more than 150 km from this restaurant!
Their meat is prepared over the real fire (not in an oven), so it tastes really great.
Service is very nice, a huge "thank you" for allowing us to stay even when the restaurant was closed for some private party and we arrived without checking if it is open on a given day.
Decor is very nice. I recommend it especially in winter, when there is a lot of snow around, whole place is super beautiful and you can check their awesome homemade gingerbread houses.

Slowakien kitchen. Please don’t miss the cabbage soup it’s like a dream.
There is also a corner for the kids inside to play.

Great location isolated on a hilltop with nice views on the valley below. Modern interior with a traditional Slovak mountain feel. Good sized, tasty dishes.

Lovely authentic mountain cabin with good local cuisine. Staff were friendly and could speak sufficient English. Lovely views. Definitely worth a stop if you are nearby.

Thus far on of my favorites. Slovak atmosphere, staff dressed in fun folk uniform. Tasteful decor. Clear garlic soup is phenomenal.

Perfect restaurant, we tried soups, pork knee, pork ribs, and much more... everything was perfect, service was excellent, very pleased!

i can't believe place like this can even exist. The prices are low, the atmosphere and interier is lovely, food and drinks delicious and planty of options. The staff is very friendly and nice. Thank you for giving me hope that restaurants can be done right. A pirožky boli dobre.

I have been there three times already. The food is delicious. Everything looks and tastes fresh. There is a small area for children, where they can play. There is also free Wi-Fi. When it gets to payment it is nice surprise that it is not that expensive. I would recommend that place.

Little bit expensive, but friendly staff, tasty food and loads of space for parking.

Very cosy place. Reasonable prices, big portions. It's a little bit harder to order if you don't speak slovak or polish, but overall very decent place.
