John Bull Pub

I really love this place. My husband and I live in Gyora for a little while, and this is probably our favorite place to eat delicious Hungarian cuisine. The atmosphere, the interior, the service - everything is at an excellent level, we are always glad to come back here 🫶🏼

To sum it up in advance, a very nice experience.
This is not the cheapest place to eat (think normal West-European prices), but on the other hand, no complaints to the quality. To the contrary, everything tasted very good.
For starters my wife and I had a traditional Hungarian goulash soup and afterwards split the main dish with a salad mix. It was more than enough. If really hungry, a normal portion should suffice.
Everything is clean and, as a restaurant, I can recommend it to everyone looking for a cozy place to eat. What I couldn't witness (unfortunately) is how good of a pub it is. I hope there will be an opportunity to spend an evening there too...

Beatiful restaurant in a beautiful town! Vintage and great atmoshpere, the inside of the restaurant is so aesthetic! Really delicous food! I was pleasantly suprised. The waitresses were nice also they knew english. Bud the food so tasty! I really enjoyed this exprience. Would visit again!👍

This was my first time (and actually
spontanious) in any of the John Bulls. The service and the quality of the food was way beyond our expectations. Had 2 soups from Chef’s choice, both were much larger than expected, so we could only have a starter instead of main food for second. Everything was perfect, great value for money, cannot wait to return and try something else.

A lovely place. We came in today when the kitchen was about to close, but the staff were more than happy to serve us. The wine and beer recommendations were great. We ordered the spicy white wine spaghetti - the flavours worked really well together. On top of that, the staff were very kind towards our three dogs - offering them some bowls and a big bucket of water. Overall, a great experience.

Excellent place to have a good meal. Large portions. Always start with the goulash soup.

Excellent food, great atmosphere, luxurious interior, kind waiters that speak solid english.
The only downside is the restaurant is a bit pricy, but it's definitely worth it.

Good food and beverage. We enjoyed large portions of tagliatelle and Nr 5 spaghetti, both were delicious.
We had some beer 🍺 with the food, the sour cherry beer is a must try.

Very cozy place, pet friendly. Goulash soup was really tasty, 1890 huf. Recommend to try!

Fast service, nice selection of beers. Food was very good and portions are reasonably big 😀 no complaints.

Very delicious goulash soup.

If you need a break on the road to Austria, it worths extra 5 km to taste a gorgeous cooked duck or some pork..or veal...
And don.t forget to explore Gyor city center after the meal..is good for health, eyes and soul!

Couldn't fault the service and atmosphere of this pub/restaurant. Had a delicious steak and a couple of bottles of wine. Nice night all round.
