Amazing exposition and very detailed and interesting descriptions + beautiful objects exposed, I would recommend everyone to give it a go! Very cool interactive parts to write medieval charts and paint on them + to follow the architectural changes in the Town Hall through centuries. Just so cool!

Superb. Fantastic building, it alone is worth the ticket. You can go all the way up to the tower and enjoy great views of the old city. Nice exhibits, extremely better than the almost double priced hrad.. Instead of paying 14€ for that one or 6€ to climb Michael's tower, do yourself a favor and visit this museum which is unimaginably better than those two combined

The big museum of Bratislava is housed in the old town hall of the city. Mostly it covers local history and the development of the city of the city from I think medieval times to present with lots of exhibits and english descriptions. The museum has a pretty eclectic collection covering religion, Moravian lives, civic life, the library and archives of the city, Slovakian industry and there’s also a museum of torture. One of the best bits of the visit is the climb up the tower where you can get great views of the main square below and Bratislava Castle.
I thought the highlight of the museum was the beautiful courthouse and its Baroque decorated interiors.
Definitely worth a visit.

Great place to learn a bit about Bratislava. There was so much I didn’t know about it (such as it having a different name in the past!). Besides you can go upstairs and take some awesome pictures- the view is perfect!

The whole museum is very nice for everyone to look at. They took the time to compile an ice hockey area to show Slovakia’s ice hockey history. Very nice and complete statistics and information.
The museum then has some English information but not all. The underground dungeons are probably not child friendly unless they want to learn about stuff like that. Lots of torture machines and the such...
The tower is a nice walk up around 4-5 stories up narrow stairwells by worth the trek up to see the view.

First part of the museum was okay. The section about the torture was very interesting though.
