Ranch under Ostrá Skala

Perfectly located. Great service. Choice of food a bit limited. They let us to put up a tent.

Place is full of a charm, located in a scenic surrounding. We have spent there only one night, for which we've rent a teepee tent. Although weather was not perfect ( rainy and rather cold night) I will be remembering this very nice. Kids were happy with an adventure. Place was quiet, toilet was clean. Only two small feedbacks. While raining water came into the tent close to the entrance. Second thing, that wooden beds were giving noises with each movement, so we were waking up each other ;). The thing that I need to highlight is a restaurant, in which we had a breakfast included in the price of renting a place...It was amazing...After cold morning in a teepee we came to cozy and warm room with a nice slow music in a western style. On tables was served whatever we could dreamed that time, eggs in all variants, sousages, salats, vegetables, fruits, cakes, different juices and excellent coffee. We were amazed with the high standard. I recommend this place to everyone, who would like to spend time in sillent place close with a nature.

We didn't stay for night there, just had a dinner. Children took horse riding. The riding was a little boring, my children were just sitting on the horses' backs while two young women lead them through the beautiful views of the surroundings. But kids enjoyed it. €10 for 30 min. each. There are also cheaper prices for the shorter ridings. After that we had a dinner. It was tasty, the service was good, although as almost in any place in Slovakia, not very fast. Have to mention that the crew speaks English, fact that not that common in that country...

Nice place to stop and have a rest during your wandering through Slovak paradise National park, or just when passing by. The ranch is situated in the vicinity of the maim road to or from Rožňava, Brezno or Poprad. There is a restaurant and a bar, accomodation and possibility of horse riding whether on a leach or by yourself in a training area or joining a guided tour in the forest. Kids love it.

Very good food for a good price. Friendly and helpful staff. And a lots of fun activities - for big and small. Worth a visit!
