Hotel SATEL

Modern hotel close to the city centre. We are satisfied with the room which is clean and renovated. The beds are comfortable. The breakfast is ok there is plenty of choice. Maybe if they put more clothes hangers in the bathroom it would improve the comfort. Recommended if you are looking for good accommodation.

I stayed in the hotel for two nights, with a group, as part of a tour, Room 312. Clean, cozy, warm. The room after renovation. Hot water, bathroom, everything worked. The breakfast is delicious, everything is fresh. Thank you, I will come again if I have the opportunity.

We loved this hotel. I am not a 5* person so 3* is my usual level. I would say that Hotel Satel is 3* PLUS. The location is perfect - a few minutes walk from the town centre, the excellent railway station, the bus station and Kaufland and Billa supermarkets. Our room was not huge but large enough for the two of us. Beds are extremely comfortable, bathroom and separate WC, very good. We loved the balcony with its views, despite the -0 temperature. The staff are simply wonderful - receprion, dining room, cleaners. Thank you to them all. I won't be specific but reception arranged something for me, as a 75 year old, that I was especially grateful for. Poprad is a lovely town/city. I have been in warmer weather but, for me, winter, with snow, is when the town really comes alive. We had a wonderful few days and Hotel Satel will be my choice whenever I return - it is fabulous.

Older hotel that was recently remodeled to a brand new and modern style. Plentiful and tasty breakfast included in the price; very close to both city center and the train station. It was already our second stay here and we loved it both times.

Nice, modern and renovated rooms including the bathroom present a very premium room for very down to earth prices.

I had a great stay at hotel Satel. Great localisation, very nice service. Rooms are renovated and very comfortable. Breakfasts are ok, it is nice that they are not exactly the same every day. It's close to Tatra mountains and Aquacity. Nearby is city center with nice restaurants and bars and big mall with shops and restaurants as well (I recommend Asian restaurant Saigon).

I chose the Satel hotel not by accident - great location - close to the railway station, airport and all the attractions of the High Tatras. Ample parking for cars (paid), great service and welcome at the reception (language, English, German, Polish and Slovak). The check-in process itself (parking fees and city tax) was quick and hassle-free. The rooms are spacious and you can choose between renovated bathrooms (a more expensive stay) and a cheaper one before renovation (my room). Before the renovation, I can't say anything bad - everything worked and was ok. The rooms were cleaned every day - the rooms were very clean. Beds very comfortable and I had a great sleep. I had breakfast included in the price - a great thing, because the buffet was super stocked - ground coffee from the coffee machine (real coffee), a huge selection of dishes for breakfast - everyone will find something for themselves. Modern elevators move quickly and without any problems, despite the 8 floors, running. I will remember my stay at the SATEL Hotel for a long time - it was nice and hospitable - the service was full of professionalism and kindness - I heartily recommend it to everyone hesitating over the choice. Hotel Satel is a very good and very convenient choice for visiting Poprad and the surrounding area, as well as for lovers of the High Tatras. I am delighted and will definitely come back to the Satel Hotel.

The food was excellent, the location and facilities of the hotel were also perfect. We will definitely come back.

The rooms are quite newly renovated, it is like you were in a 4* hotel, looks amazing. This is true for the bathroom as well, all new, clean, cozy. The room where we stayed was quiet, beds are comfortable. Staff is helpful and kind.

The outside look of the building might confuse people (looks old), as per additional information they are continuously renovating the building and actually doing really great job with that. The value for the money is great, and the room where you are staying is the most important I believe.

Breakfast is also great, it was totally ok, I can just recommend to book your stay with including breakfast, worth it I believe.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. Great location just 5 mins walk away from train / bus station and 3 mins walk to city centre. Rooms are newly refurbished and my room was very clean and comfortable with all the essentials. Housekeeping attended daily. From my understanding the double glazing is planned in the near future hence this shouldn't be reflected in reviews in my opinion. En-suite bathroom was modern and stylish. Plentiful options for breakfast. I chose to dine in the hotel on couple of occasions and found the options to be very good value for money. The level of care from the staff from the management, reception to the catering / bar staff was outstanding. Helpful, professional with great customer service. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in hotel Satel therefore highly recommend it and will definitely return when next in Poprad.

Stayed here several times throughout the past years. It is always a very pleasant experience. The views of the mountains are stunningly beautiful, the staff is always very helpful, the rooms are clean and the food is plentiful and good.

We really liked the feel of the "old" hotel, with the old room designs, elevators and furniture. Really gave the feeling of a bygone era, and we were really sad to see it go during renovations. Of course I do understand that most guests prefer modern rooms and equipment, but for the sake of the nostalgy, it would be great if a few rooms could be preserved in their original conditions! I would certainly enjoy them.

I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are not afraid to experience the "old times" if you get one of the non-renovated rooms. Everything, including the prices are good! Thank you for the pleasant memories through the years! We hope to visit when it is possible to travel there again.

We had a great family stay here at Hotel Satel. The receptionist was so lovely and helpful. The beds and rooms were clean and comfortable. And the breakfast was delightful. Highly recommend it! Will definitely be coming back!

Clean hotel, good breakfast, the only problem is that there is no ramp access for baby strollers/ disabled people.

5/5 experience! Even though the exterior of the hotel is not typically pretty, the interior is under continuous renovation and coming back there after last year’s stay, I can see a lot of improvement has happened. Super clean rooms, comfortable beds, good breakfast buffet and excellent aperitif bar. The true gem of this place is its amazing staff with kind, professional people who speak multiple languages and are always helpful! I don’t think it’s fair to judge a book by its cover :) Hotel Satel is truly the place to be if you’re looking for great accommodation near Tatra within reasonable price range

Apart from the fact that the building itself is a heritage of the end of '80-es, this can be the best choice in Poprad. Good location, close to the city centre as well as the railway and the bus stations. Good buffet breakfast is in the price. Staff are very helpful and kind. Room was clean, bed was comfortable.

Perfect hotel, clean, good breakfast with options to vegan. Very nice room, good location and kind staff. The reception was 24 hours. For this price it is definitely treasure!

Old school style but great place to stay! Very comfortable beds, clean, quiet, amazing view on Tatra mountains. Reception staff very helpful and friendly. Free WiFi. Good breakfast buffet. Special parking for motorbike. We loved it! (No hair dryer in bathroom though so if you need it, bring yours)

Nice hotel in central location (5 minutes both to train station and the main square). The hotel seems old but renovation is taking place. We had a renovated room and it was quite nice, only bathroom looked bit like from 90s, but still clean and serviceable. Staff was nice and helpful.
