Worth to ge there. Bit tricky with small kids.

One of my top destinations. Love local woods, nice hike to peak Sivec and beautiful sights from the top. In good weather High Tatras are visible.

I recommend to choose a path from Kosicka Bela over the path from the Ruzin. It's longer but also more beuatiful.

A great hike if you are near Košice. Offers great views of the Ružín dam and the surrounding mountains. On a good day, you can even see the High Tatras. It's not an overly difficult or a very long hike, just watch your step towards the end as it gets rocky and steep on both sides of the ridge.

Nice climb. Usually lots of people but the view is worth it

This place is not as challenging yet a beautiful target to go to. We had no problem parking at the bottom of the hill and enjoyed all kinds of terrain, which is not particularly challenging. At least until you get to the top. You have to go across tight rocks to get up top which really is spectacular to see. This is the place which can be quite dangerous so be careful.

One of the moderately difficult hike for a beginner within the Kosice region. It’s totally worth all the effort to reach the top of the mountain for a spectacular view. If it’s a clear sky, you get a chance to see tatras from the peak. Also you can easily commute to kosicke Hamre, most which is the starting point of the hike using Euro bus from Kosice bus station.
Recommend to go here is all seasons to feel the difference in climate and different views .

We started the hike in Kosicke Hamre from where it took us about 1hr 15 to get to the top. Some parts are a bit steep, but overall its not a difficult hike. It is well marked too. The view at the top is magnificent, so worth the effort!

Sivec je výraznou dominatou nad vodnou nádržou Ružín a je najkrajším vrchom Čiernej hory. Z vrcholu je nádherný výhľad na Volovské vrchy, vodnú nádrž Ružín, Branisko, Čergov, Slanské vrchy a za priaznivého počasia aj na Vysoké Tatry.
Vrch Sivec je súčasťou prírodnej rezervácie s 5 tym stupňom ochrany a neumožňuje vybočovať z turistických značkovaných chodníkov.
Na skalom brale je umiestnená plechová skrinka, v ktorej sa nachádza vrcholová kniha.
Na Šivec vedie viacero turistických chodníkov, my sme sa vybrali od parkoviska pod Šivcom, je to po žltej turistickej trase cez Sivecké lúky až do sedla Priehyba pod Sivcom. Cesta cez les bola mierne náročná, keďže tam bolo veľa padnutých stromov. Odtiaľ sme pokračovali až na vrchol Sivca (asi tak 20 minút). Celkový výstup na vrch po tejto kombinovanej trase nám trval približne 1:30 h.
Cestou späť sme využili červenú turistickú odbočku na Drienkovú skalu, odkiaľ bol tiež krásny výhľad.

Na Sivec som šiel už asi 10x a jeho výhľad má vždy dokáže očariť. K Sivcu sa dá dostať z rôznych smerov. Ja som šiel od mosta Ružín pri chatovej oblasti Košické Hámre, cez Sivecké lúky, je to cca 1h a 45min. cesty. Táto trasa je ako tak, málo náročná a nie je zbytočne dlhá. Samozrejme cesta vedie aj z parkoviska priamo pod Sivcom, hore ste za 45min. ale trasa je náročná na stúpanie. Vezmite si dobru obuv, pretože sa na vrchu Sivca šmýka, najmä po daždi. Ak je slnečno a idete cez víkend je to tam ako na Václavaku. Ja odporúčam a vždy sa mi to vyplatilo ísť cca 2h pred západom slnka alebo ak je to možné choďte skoro ráno. Mimochodom je prísne lietať s dronom nad Sivcom, ja som si musel pre svoj dokument vypýtať povolenie od Štátnej ochrany prírody (na ktoré som čakal rok). Samozrejme platí sa aj poplatok.

Navštívený v piatok 25.8.23,prišiel som tam od mosta Ružín, kniha je plná, sú tam popadané stromy, ale výhľad krásny.

Nádherné miesto, stojí za zmienku 😉 nič náročné, krásny výhľad 👍
