Kemping Moongarden

This goes without saying, this is the best camp I have ever seen. Owned by amazingly nice couple with 2 lovely doggies ❤ Everything was very clean, the fridge was full of cold beverages, wines included (god bless you for this 😁), toilets and shower were superb-clean and neat. This camp has it all, the surrounding is very peaceful and we were able to relax and enjoy our stay fully. We will visit again for sure. ❤

Very complete, professional and beautiful place to spend a night or more. The Dutch couple, that have seen the world, know what matters and are very involved in taking care of everything. As you can see from nearly 100 reviews, 5 stars are the very minimum for this place. Thank you for the wonderful stay.

What a fantastic place to stay. I was coming to the end of a 3 week cycling trip around Slovakia, and this was by far the best campsite I stayed at.

Why? The hosts are the friendliest people I met on my whole trip. The facilities are excellent with big shower rooms, beautiful gardens, well stocked drinks fridge, well-equipped kitchen, excellent wifi signal and a peaceful location.

I highly recommend Camping Moongarden. Five stars.

Wonderful place! Best camping owners we‘ve ever met: globetrotters, dog lovers and simply very lovely people. Gave us great advice for our further trip. New and very clean bathrooms, outdoor kitchen with everything you need, a fire place and a couple of hammocks to relax. Highly recommended!

We are becoming big fans of Dutch camps in Slovakia :). You can find them in unexpected places and we were happy to find this one for our canoeing trip on Ipel. The camp had very nice ambience (we liked especially all the oil lamps in the evening), meticulously clean toilets and showers, well stocked fridge :), nice location and we simply loved our stay.

A very nice place to stay. I arrived kinda late, but the host was very welcoming and understanding.
Wim and Ellen are super friendly people. (had a nice conversation about motorcycles and traveling on them)
The facilities are excellent. Beautiful gardens, drinks in fridge, well-equipped kitchen. Peaceful location.

Situated at a wonderful site, the camping is operated by a super friendly couple. It is clear that they are environmentally conscious (bio toilet paper, etc), the facilities are always sparkly clean, the kithen is very well equipped, and there is always a cold beverage for the tired wanderer in the fridge. :) Only gave 5 stars because there wasn't a 6 option! We wish you the best, and hope you come accross as many lovely guests as possible!

Moongarden is a very nice place to stay. It has a charming atmosphere and is run by great hosts Ellen and Wim. All facilities are new and clean. There is a common kitchen under a roof with microwave, stove and a fridge (stuffed with beer, water and coke for a prices like in a shop). There is also a fireplace, small pool and a resting area with 3 hammocks in shade of trees. The camping is located very close to a Hungarian city of Széchenyi (6km by bicycle or car) where one can find restaurants and supermarkets. Great place, I highly recommend it also for families with kids.

Absolutely lovely campground with everything you need and a personal touch. We enjoyed our stay here very much. Thank you!

We didn't simply stay in a campsite in Petov. We put on our tent in a beautiful garden and its owners are really nice and welcoming people who respect and do care about nature. What else do we need? Ellen, Win - hats off guys.

Fantastic place! I stayed in the Airbnb room which was so neat, comfortable and nice. The hosts were extremely helpful and nice.

Heerlijk verblijf gehad in een rustgevende camping met ontzettend lieve uitbaters die er alles aan doen om je thuis te laten voelen. We zijn dankbaar dat we hen hebben mogen leren kennen en dat we hebben kunnen genieten van hun prachtige domein. Absolute aanrader dus!

Sinds dit jaar nieuwe eigenaren in de vorm van Fred en Esther.
Bij aankomst stond er een heerlijke kop courgette soep uit eigen tuin klaar. Ze hebben een overdekte keuken waar je vrij gebruik van kunt maken. Mooie verzorgde rustige camping met mogelijkheid tot huren van een appartement en of vakantiehuis. Wij hebben ivm het slechte weer de vouwwagen droog gesloten en de laatste dagen doorgebracht in het mooie appartement. Maken geregeld een heerlijk gerecht voor avondeten voor een bescheiden bedrag.
Heerlijke avonden aan het kampvuur gehad en overdag uitstapjes gemaakt naar bijvoorbeeld Hongarije dat op een steenworp afstand ligt.
Zeer gastvrije betaalbare en mooie kleine camping gerund door fijne mensen.
