Gombasek Cave

The parking is free, on working days it is not much people which makes the cave tour almost private. Also the tour was in English since all of visitors were tourists from abroad. Worth the money!

Beautiful spot with lovely guide, amazing views, unique cave elements, not too long walk so quite good for families.

The straw stalactites were magical to see. A miracle that they have survived and grown to the valuable lengths visible on the tour in their delicacy. Very good tour guide as well. One of my favorite caves in the area. Beautiful nature and hiking trails in the nearby surroundings also. Cheap entrance fee, no photography charge. All around good stuff.

This place is cool. Not a massive cave but it's a very good one, nestled in a nice bit of classic European countryside. They'll give you a funny little palm pilot for free if you need the tour in something besides Hungarian or Slovak.

Gombasecka cave belongs among the most important caves of the Slovak Karst national park. The tour takes cca 30-40 minutes depending on the number of people. It costs 9€/adult, you can pay only with cash. It is famous for its straw stalactites. The air temperature is 9°C, we were there in summer in shorts and T-shirts, it was totally OK. :)

We truly loved the visit with my son. One of the most beautiful caves in Slovakia. Our guide, Janka, made the tour very memmorable and we enjoyed every bit of it!! Thanks a lot fot all!!! :@)

The cave is closed until March but the place is beautiful on its own and worth to visit.

Super nice. Brand new ticket stand with clean toilets. Perfect for family time. Inside the cave is beautiful and breathtaking. If you feel old, then visit this cave ;)

Beautiful place, I highly recommend

It's the smallest, yet one of the nicest caves in Slovakia. A couple months ago they discovered a whole new level in the cave, I hope that they will open it for the publicity, so I can come to visit it again.

If you travel by, definitely stop by at "Gombasecka Jaskyna" (Cave). Dress properly, tour takes around 45 minutes in quite cold underground cave. Tours starts usually only couple times a day, so check on the web the times on particular season or time of the year for tours start times and when the last one is available. Easy parking too, only short walk from the cave entrance...
