Little Carpathians

Absolutely beautiful place to visit just a short drive up north from the capital city Bratislava. A lot of different hikes and trails awaits the visitor with spectacular views and scenery. Suitable for families as well as lonely walkers. I have been there multiple times and always enjoyed the serenity of the place.

Great place for relax near Bratislava. If you want a little trip woth your children you can use many playgrounds near the forest. And if you are into hiking, you can dive deep int9 forest and enjoy nature and calm walks.

I love it here so so much. I'm really glad that there is such a place like this near to my house.

Small rolling hills with endless possibilities for sports and recreation. Ruins of multiple ancient castles scattered there. Mines active and closed, small villages around. Beautiful place. Love it!

Beautiful nature near to Bratislava. Losts of hike and bicycle trials. Usually crowded during weekends. When you avoid main trials and go fruther away from the city and you will meet noone. There are lots of nice hidden and forgotten places and beutiful lookouts.

Great place for not difficult hiking even if some trails might be partially challenging

This is Slovakia's most famous tobbagon hill. Excellent place to spend time with kids/family/friends on a nice Winter day ☺

Every season of the year is nice at Malé Karpaty, but autumn is my favorit because of oak and beech forest colors...

It is cool place for everybody, who wanna go for a hiking, but don't have a more, than 1 day for it. From Bratislava you can easily take a bus to any point near the mountains, make a hiking across it. Usually it takes around 3-5 hours of walking + time for resting, eating, making photos and so on. Be sure, you will want to make photos, cause you will see a lot of insane places and views.

Like this place, it's great for walking, biking or many other outdoor activities. Currently there's an ongoing planned destroing of the Bratislava City forrest so where used to be a lot of trees, today you can find only empty space. Very sad situation....

Many easy hike options for families with smaller kids. Accessible through multiple means of transport - car, bus, train. Many short routes for daily trips. If you skip the obvious popular 'destinations' you will not meet so many people.

Those places we need to protect 💖 So if you visit, by bike, by foot, or otherwise, always try not to harm plants and be quiet. When using bicycle, do not drift, soil is very easily disturbed - when there is a steeper pathway, deeper corrugation can mean more water comes down from forests and meadows - which then become dry and inhospitable for life. Be thoughtful and respectful, so we all can live in a wonderful country. ;)
