It was very historic place you can get so much information about this historic city how they live. It was a very good experience there. It was one of most adventurous places. You can go inside old homes and explore everything by yourself. Every thing is open for everyone.

Must visit place in asir region. Museum entry fee 20 SAR. If you’re planning to go from khamis mushait/ Abha , Better to choose via muhail to rijal almaa, because the way from Al Sauda to rijal almaa is too risky.

One of the Must visit place in Saudi Arabia. Rijal Alma is in tentative UNESCO world heritage site list. Located in Aseer region and just 40-60kms from Abha city. You need good vehicle to drive to Rijal Alma since roads are full of curve n slopes. Entrance fee SR20/-. It’s small heritage village and you can see mesmerizing views.

We bought a ticket from there and we entered right after we received the ticket. Amazing place to explore. You need to drink water before you climb on the foot steps otherwise you will get thirsty🤭. Not recommended for oldies who can't step on stairs...they will just stay and enjoy the view from down portion...

Great place to visit. It is free but museum cost 20sr.We went there around 5:00pm and got to see what it looks like day and during night with all its lights turned on. Looks really magical at night. You can also enjoy hot or cold drinks on site overlooking the view atop. It would have been better if there are restaurants nearby because we kind of came hungry from travel. Since we came late and decided to stay the night, it was hard to find hostel or transients around the area. You need locals or contact who can speak the language to really find a place to stay. But overall, it was a great experience.

Rejal Historical Village... Nice place. There's coffee shop there, and museum. But we didn't had the chance to go inside the museum. I think it's only for the locals (not so sure, I'm sorry) but we tried the coffee shop , with the overlooking view. Very nice.

Loved the village, we happened to go into an adjacent smaller house where an old man (read 90 and above) gave us a tour of his ancestral property. The main property is quite tall with a lot to climb. There are lots of houses there and I've heard they offer overnight stay as well. We didn't plan on staying. But wish I had enquired more on what they had to offer.

You must visit if you come to Abha.
Please note if you are coming with your own vehicle.
There are 20 km of slick, downward-curving roads interspersed with hills. For an hour, you will only use the brakes when driving, so make sure your vehicle is powerful and has good brakes.

900 years old village, a UNESCO World Heritage site that has been restored to it's old glory....
A ticket of SR 20 per person will get in to museum where they have kept things from past for the people to see... Near by a coffee shop where you can get refreshment..
If you come late afternoon then you can see the other lovely sight of the village when it is lighten up by lights as the day comes to an end..

hysterically a masterpiece it should be
Recognized in the world heritage Organization. we did enjoy it I guess you have to be fitted to climb the stairs I do not recommend it for elderly people or people with disabilities due to the steepness of the stairs. I still have pain over my calves because of climbing the stairs😂 . Truly a wonderful place to visit

The houses in the heritage village have interesting features, colours and decorations. Some are restored, at least the exteriors, others in a dilapidated state. There is a small museum, coffee shop and mini market on site. An application has been made for World Heritage Site status for the houses.

Timing is wrong on maps. It's closed by 9pm. If you want to enjoy full you should be there after 4pm so you can enjoy the whole view. Leave after after 10pm bcoz the night view is too good as you can see in my attach pictures. Also after 9pm when the museum is closed only few few ppl left then you can enjoy and feel the calmness of rijal alma. Go from alsouda abha but with car have good breaking system. The Descending are too dangerous but adventures. You will love it

The museum itself is not the attraction but it is the drive to the place which should not be missed in an Abha Tour.
The place ia surrounded by mountains on all sides. And the steep road to the bottom is quite an experience.

We traveled from Abha City and so far, the road leading here is the most challenging road so far. Very steep and dangerous, so the driver must take extra precaution and use low gear. On the other hand, this historical site is well-preserved. Brick structures were intact and the blend well with the nature. People in this place are friendly and courteous. There is a museum with a minimal entrance fee of 20 saudi riyals (5.3 USD). There's even a mini-ampitheater down the main entrance.Overall, the view is super worth it! Highly recommended.

Awesome museum and worth the visit but needs some fixing and installing safety fences as it's a bit dangerous for kids. Also the road to the museum is dangerous as you have to drive through As Samma'a Hill. Make sure your car in a good condition and the breaks and hand break are okay. The weather is warmer than abha so make sure to wear light clothes.

Simply spectacular.

Scenic verdant valleys and gorges - covered in lush green forests and vegetation.

However, The road trip was nerve-wracking - a winding road with hairpin bends down terribly steep slopes.

🌼Next time I’ll take the cable car which takes 10 minutes.

The ginger bread village - Rijal Alma - is well worth a visit.

Road to rijal al alma is quite dangerous. Driving down the mountain need more care. Ameture drivers may find it difficult. Brake pads worn out, be careful and drive safe. Centuries old Beautiful place to visit.
