Fatima Museum of home decoration and women's clothes

I highly recommend it. Its a private museum owned by Ms Fatma showcasing Al Qatt Al Aseeri which is a traditional art form native to this region.This museum has collections of Aseeri women's dresses,jewellery etc.

You should come here in the evening if you want some peace and quiet space. We went on a weekday and there was no rush at all. I enjoyed this house's artwork and surroundings. When we arrived in the evening, it started to drizzle a little, but they gave us Arabic tea to keep us warm. Since this is a private location, there are not many parking spaces available, and there is no signage guiding visitors there. Overall, Abha is a good spot to unwind. but this classic home will give you a different sense of comfort from other similar places in Abha. They charge you 20 riyal per head, but it is well worth the money.

An amazing place .You take a tour begin with a wonderful traditional clothes and jewelry. After that, you watch a short movie about the art of colors in this region and how it is made. It ends with the purchase of souvenirs.

Truly a hidden treasure tucked a little away from the city.

Different kinds of antique jewelry is on display as you enter the place. A colorful variety of hand painted wall hangings of different sizes, mugs, vases, cups, boxes, finjaan, are on display and most of the items are available for sale as well. Do look at all the items before deciding to buy as you end up liking almost everything. Met the husband of the lady who makes such beautiful pieces, each one of them reflective of the local culture. His son took us around and was very helpful (although he spoke limited English). There is also a smaller gift shop but the place itself is a gift shop so you can find something aesthetically appealing and to your liking. If you are in Abha, do take the time to visit.
