Bab Makkah Jeddah

The place from where pilgrims used to visit Makkah in ancient times. The place and the shops around it are good.

If u want to visit this place to get taxis to perform Umrah, remember that ahead of this spot, there's another spot named Mawqif Makkah, from where u can take taxis to Haram Makkah. They charge 15 riyals per seat.

As usual crowded and now the new problem of very limited parking space. But the place is amazing for the famous Old Souq atmosphere.

I go to this place before .. it's comfortable and fresh air and Spacious it's great place to see Different things but they don't have enough parking

Bab Makkah is the place from where you can carch up cabs for Makkah, they will drop you at gate 79 charging about 20SR per person. Option for those who want to travel makkah from jeddah.

Baab makkah is the heart of Jeddah,you could find anything you wants,wonderful walking track, and some good restaurants for foods

The place has lost its beauty. There's nothing. Feel very sad to see the barren land.

If you are visiting from abroad, you should visit this neighborhood that has a soul that extends to about 3-4 neighborhoods with everything you may need. Scarves, thobes, dates, prayer mats, food items including herbs etc.
it’s usually busy and is full of life and sometimes there would be festivals in the Balad area with food kiosks and lights.

Easy to walk from Historic Are and then catch a taxi also.
Would be a good idea if the Authorities put up a plaque or something to make it easy for people to understand it’s importance.

Reaching Bab Makkah Was very hard as work of redevelopment Is going on around Jeddah we reach Bab Makkah through Balad, In Bab Makkah you can get ever kind of stuffs, but you have to find, example, rice, oil, clothes, shoes, socks, hardware tools, pipes, repairing watches, mobiles, flour, wheat, Miswaak, Noddles, Honey, Onions, every kind of Vegetables and Fruits, eggs, juice and much more

It was an adventure to go there before eid al fotr as it was very busy and overcrowded.

All the prices are negotiable si take care of scammers and know the price of what you are buying before you go. The historical gate cannot be seen well in the dark you should visit in the morning. The parking spaces are charged so take a lot of coins with you. Recommend
