Manastir Vratna

A genuine, modest monastery in the most amazing, breathtaking surrounding I've ever seen for a monastery spot. It has a hiking path through the forest that takes you to a river that flows under a natural rock bridge, surrounded by trees and cliffs. It's absolutely amazing, and when you go back to the monastery, they have a nice place to rest and refresh.

As for the monastery itself, it's not the original 14th century one (that one was destroyed by the Ottomans), but it's still very old and beautiful on the inside. It still has the aura of modesty and worship, unlike its larger, commercialized siblings. I hope it stays that way, because everything about Vratna is magical.

Great nature stone gates. First 2 are near monestery. Third is about 2h walking but if you can go there.

Stunning place everyone should visit at some point. The monastery itself is simply beautiful, the road leading to it is almost brand new. However, monastery is just the begininng - behind it is a well marked hiking trail leading to beautiful, nature-made bridges. Pictures can give you a vague idea of the beauty of it all, however, you have to see it to fully grasp it. Of course, it goes without saying that everyone is super friendly and should you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask around.

It is very beautiful and peacefull. Its not crowded and the nature around it is also very stunning.

A quiet place, one of traditional monasteries where nuns are glad to see visitors. We bought really good plum preserve here.

Прелеп манастир на предивном месту. Налази се у близини Вратањских капија, дивног природног феномена кога дефинитивно морате обићи.
Манастир је женски, поред чидотворне иконе пресвете Богородице, поседује многе ручно израђене биљне мелеме, мед од лаванде и уље од лаванде.
Све то можете купити и одморити се у предивној гостопримници испред манастира.
Препоручујем домаће сокове од малине, кајсије и др...

Prelepo mesto okruženo divnom sumom i vidikovcem.

Mir,tišina i spokoj.Gostopeimnica je ispred manastira i tu može da se kupi kafa,sladoled i drugo osveženje.Pored lepe rečice imaju ležaljke i klackalice za decu.
