I did not visit the hotel, but the memorial park itself, its quite magical experience, the monuments are just wonderful and the meaning behind them os quite painful. Although as a young person I just can not imagine the disaster and blood that hides behind it all and also simply cannot imagine the beautiful park to be a bloody place 🙁

October in Kragujevac Memorial Park, also known as Šumarice Memorial Park, is a site near Kragujevac, Serbia, on the execution of estimated 3,000 men and boys of the town by German occupation forces on October 21, 1941, during World War II.

On any given night, there are hundreds of people exercising. The monuments to execute Serbians are thought provoking. Sunset is the perfect time for a long, leisurely stroll around the park.

Beautiful memorial park with several monuments and a museum. Museum was under reconstruction and didn't work, though. Nice place to spend afternoon and to get to know serbian history and some facts about WWII

I brought mine 8 y.o child in this memorial park and museum 21. October for the first time. It was very challenging how to explain horror of the Second World War and what really happened on this place so long ago. This memorial park and the Museum are places that have to been seen. Beautiful, peaceful place in Kragujevac city with lots of history behind every monument in it. Definitely worth of visiting although it left you with sadness and bitter taste.

A popular place for a walk with your family, friends or pets if you're in Kragujevac. Every October 21. there is a cultural show named "Veliki školski čas" where there are plays and a choir that is there to remind us of the tragic moments that our country's kids had to go through. You can catch a couple of people exercising on any other day of the year. All in all a breathtaking place everyone should visit.

You can feel the spirit more than 1000 kids who died in second world war when are German army took kids from the school and kill tham on this place and their teachers as well ! Very important place for Serbian people.

This is a beautiful and peaceful park in memory to those who were massacered during ww2. The walk is app. 3-4 km long with lovely statues among massgraves. Really worth visiting, much better than expected and not this good described in our guidebook.

A beautiful park dedicated to the victims of Germany's shooting of 3000 people in Kragujevac during WW2 in october 1941. Around 300 of them were children taken right out of the school desks. It has kilometers of walking and running paths. You can also use a bicycle, while cars are not allowed although it has a road -used for emergency wehicles only. There is a museum with the same theme at the park entrance. Beautiful monuments can be found all over the park. This is a place that should be visited if someone comes to Kragujevac, the children should never be forgotten.

Very special place with lot's of emotions after visit, obligatory to visit while in Kragujevac and arrange a guide tour through the Šumarice memorijal zone.

This is the most beautiful place to take a walk in Kragujevac and enjoy greenery and the fresh air, especially in the summer.
During the winter it is also a great place for sledding.

Fantastic park for long walks. The only thing missing is more tourist oriented infrastructure as you can hardly find a place to buy weather or snacks. So make sure to bring some with your self

Spacious green market where one can buy fresh fruits and vegetables, homemade processed vegetables packed in jars, fresh cheese and eggs, meat and fish in specialised shops, etc.

One of the must-visit places in Kragujevac. The park is really big and has a lot of monuments. I would recommend taking a bottle of water with you since there are no shops in the park.

Great memorial park. Place where more than 3,000 people were murdered by german wermacht soldiers, in the october of 1941. The monument simbolizes the pupils of Vth year of Kragujevac liceum who were killed all together in one day, by german soldiers.
