One of the most beautiful places in Vojvodina for me. I loved to explore the colourful synagogue and it’s great that you can visit the upper part that is supposed to be just for women. The interior is so different from other ones. But it is a must see place in Serbia.

Unfortunately the synagogue was closed by the time I got there. Did manage to snap some photos from the outside. Please take note of opening hours before going.

For its Synagogue, Subotica’s Jewish Community chose the design that won second prize in the Szeged synagogue architectural competition, thus making Subotica a home to one of the “most beautiful synagogues in this part of Europe” – as Subotica’s citizens like to say. The Synagogue was built 1902, according to the project of Marcell Komor and Dezső Jakab.

If Barbie was religious, she'd praying at this pastel colored pistachio ice cream synagogue. If you're a fan of Hungarian art nouveau you must visit. If you're a Jew, make your mother proud and visit. If you are a dog, don't even think about coming here. I thought a synagogue should be no place for discrimination.

The second largest synagogue in Europe done in secession style. After the WW2 it was renovated and now it’s active not only for Jews but also for events and concerts. I’ve visited many synagogues but this one left me speachless 🥰 Entrance is around 3€ which is cheap.

My first time in a synagogue, impressive! The admission is 500 RSD (~4 EUR) for adults, there are discounts for students, kids, seniors, etc.

Extraordinary building. Beauty and harmony. Simple needs to be visited while in Subotica. Unfortunately, the security person there represents everything in contrary. Rude, unprofessional, without any manners and politnes, playing a local sheriff and attacking us just because we accidently went in a part of the building that is restricted but in his head. There was no signs, chains except one board with a sign: wet floor that he obviously can't read. Please, put clear signs what is allowed and not!!!

The most beautiful, amazing Art Nouveau Synagogue in the world. It's quite an experience to visit. Built in 1902 by architects Komor Marcell and Jakab Dezső from the Hungarian capital Budapest, at Szabadka (Subotica), that used to belong to Hungary before WW1. The Synagogue was restored in 2018 with the financial assistance of Hungarian government. The glass windows were made in the Budapest workshop of world famous artist Roth Miksa. #beatifulviews #synagogue
