Forget "must see" and "must visit", this should be on the bucket list for anyone living within a 500km radius. Absolutely phenomenal, with so many attractions and places to visit. I've been there five times so far and plan on going many more times.

If you really want to relax yourself and enjoy mother nature and her treasures, do visit "Stara planina"! You will never forget the forests the green, the parfume of fresh herbs and grass. You can also meet all kinds of animals. Last time we saw the green river crab in Toplodolska river, lots of protected fish and rare birds. This plase is called "Ogorelica" and it's perfect for a picnick and rifreshing moments in the river!

It's a Park of nature, not yet a National park. Still, it's beautiful, rich and diverse. Place you should see. Take just nice memory and leave no garbage, please. Honour local culture and do not disturb local people. They have right to live their beautiful traditions for their own and our sake. We should cherish appreciation for both natural and cultural heritage of Stara Planina

Excellent nature, a lot of waterfalls, lakes and rivers. Nice place to spend peaceful and relaxing time, because it is not crowded.
