Kafana Car Lazar

Old school kafana where my friend who brought me here ate 50 years ago! The food was great, we had off course the soups, then grilled mushrooms, cheese and cevapi. Delicious! Also very good choice of local rakija. The interior is beautiful as they kept the old charm, with garden too and unique trapezoid shape on the corner of the street, the place usually kafanas were before. All in all if you are in Čačak, this is warm hearted recommendation!

The mućkalica was phenomenal and the bread was warm, a nice touch. I didn't have to wait long after ordering. It was a bit noisy outside, but they have plenty of seating inside,as well.

I loved the local food here and plum rakia! I have tried Leskovački uštipci and I would recomend them.

This restaurant has a "soul", therefore 5 stars.

Update: After the renovations place looks amazing, genuine Serbian "kafana". Everything is done flawlessly, food is great, the overall impression is just right.

Pleasant atmosphere, professional service, tasty food.

The food was delicious and the waiter was very nice. He didn't speak any English, or German but we managed to communicate nonetheless.

Traditiomal but modern, extremly good meals and famous cake "krempita" - cream pie. Try also chicken liver, a specialty.

The best place in Cacak if you like to enjoy in music, very good food, relaxing with yoir friends, make some celebrations, expect baklavas, I realy didnt like it. They have to change a recipe. But that is not important, whole impression is for 5 stars. Truly recommendation. 😇

Great food, the interior is nice

Traditional cousine in the pleasant semi-rustic environment. Excellent kebabs and burgers. If you are a hedonist, you should definitely visit. Staff should be more responsive and this is a flaw, but the enterier and exterior compensate it well.

Old place, but renewed, with 100+ years of tradition, food is excelent with nice old times taste and almost forgoten recepies.
