This place is a hidden gem. Very cosy and authentic atmosphere on the top of the hill where all the vine cellars are located in Rajac. The food was very good. We also got locally made wine.

I highly recommend this lovely place in Eastern Serbia.

Fantastic place to visit if you are fond of authentic Serbian wine "Tamjanika" both white and red but also some fantastic local dishes, also vegetarian style.
Old wine cellars renovated in the old style.

A fascinating place hidden from main paths and usual touristic routs, it offers a unique and authentic insight into Rajac winery region's rich past and lovely traditions. Once, in mid-19th century, it was a center of wine production in then Principality of Serbia, boosted by commercial relations with France and its wine traders. Nowadays, several active wineries and just a couple of restaurants are trying hardly to re-establish this craftsmanship in original cellars from the period.
Just at village's outskirts, you may find and explore a completely extraordinary and solidly preserved, yet fully neglected local graveyard with amazing tombstones made from sandstone, dated back to even 16th century. A place to visit, admire and contemplate over its strong presence, and beautiful and forgotten past, while being left aside by those in charge of our heritage and its most valuable legacy.

For us it was like a Fairytale, landed at night in this medieval village, with no place to go. Veljeko became our host and was so heart warming, even tho nothing was booked in advance. If you really love wine, from its origin and all its naturality and are interested in Serbian rural culture and hospitality, then you have to go to this magic place in Eastern Serbia.
We ll definately come back!

UNESCO heritage site for wines 🍷 products (very old from 1887). Perfect wine and food ...you feel like two centuries ago.
A step back in the past you should have.

Very nice place. Very much different from my expectations, and stories I heard about it, in a good vay. Nice wines, good food, and very polite host Željko Perić.

Could be 5 stars tourist attraction. Amaizing history, great wine. Only thing that is missing in order to be a fairy tale place is organization and restauration. People have 101% hospitality! So I would give 4.5 stars.

We had an absolutely unforgettable experience with Sanja and Sasha this weekend. They were kind enough to welcome us into their village festival and treated us as good friends, as though we'd known each other for years. We got to experience a true bit of Serbian culture first hand without feeling like tourists - and the music, wine and food was amazing! Would fully recommend to anyone looking to experience true Serbian culture.

This place is great! Very authentic with traditional Serbian food. We were hosted by Misko in St. George cellar, he first welcomed us with some home made cognac and after we got excellent wine degustation, plus food was tasty and homemade. I can warmly recommend this place.

Very interesting and unique place. A walk past the wine cellars takes you back to some other times. Equally interesting is the old cemetery located in the extension of this complex.

Pimnice are intereting vine cellers dating from 18th centery or even older. Hosts are wonderful. Food is authentic and it was a great suprise even for me Serbian. They serve ancient dishes, with tasty organic food produced in the surroundings. There are stil authentic vineries with autochtonous vine types. Enyone shoud try Tamianica sweet and dry varinats.
It is my third visit and I alvwaus see or tase somthing new.
Worth visit
