Aeronautical Museum in Belgrade Reviews

I had the incredible opportunity to visit the Aeronautical Museum in Belgrade, and it was an experience that left me in awe. As an aviation enthusiast, I was particularly thrilled to see the famous downed F-117 Nighthawk stealth fighter on display, which added an extra level of intrigue to my visit.
First and foremost, the museum itself is well-organized and exhibits a vast collection of aircraft from various eras, showcasing the rich aviation history of Serbia. The display halls are spacious, allowing visitors to comfortably explore the impressive array of planes, helicopters, engines, and other aviation artifacts.
The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the F-117 Nighthawk. Seeing this iconic aircraft up close was an absolute treat. The museum's careful preservation and presentation of the F-117 is commendable. It offers an excellent opportunity to examine the unique design and learn about the history and capabilities of this groundbreaking stealth aircraft.
Overall, my visit to the Aeronautical Museum in Belgrade, particularly to see the downed F-1117 Nighthawk, was an unforgettable experience. Whether you're an aviation enthusiast or simply someone curious about flight and history, this museum is an absolute must-visit. The combination of captivating exhibits, knowledgeable staff, and the opportunity to witness the iconic F-117 make it a destination that should not be missed. I highly recommend it to anyone with an interest in aviation!

In general this museum it's amazing with the variety of the planes and worth to visit but it's a pity the overall image of the museum. Looks like they don't take care of it. Needs a lot of maintenance... There like water drops in many points of the museum. It's sad to walk through museum while it looks like this. Staff at the entrance was very friendly.

By and large, the museum is one of the best in the world in it's field. If you want to see the American drone named "Predator" itself, this museum is a must to visit in your list. Just a very few people have seen it without being annihilated. This notorious unmanned vehicle was deadly and accurate when NATO was bombing Yugoslavia. The technology was a breakthrough; anyway, the Serbs cold intercept it.

It’s old, it’s run down, and it requires lots and lots of renovation and maintenance BUT it’s a beauty on its own right. Just the way it is. The look and feel will tell you much more than meets the eye. You will learn much history about aviation and about this country. You will fall in love. Highly recommended.

Excellent collection, futuristic building. The collection is well presented and well curated. The elements have taken thier toll on the outside planes and building but certainly worth an extended visit.

Founded in 1957, the museum is located adjacent to Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport. The current facility, designed by architect Ivan Štraus, was opened to the public on 21 May 1989.

Nice museum with a very good collection. There is unfortunately very few English exploration. But the collection and what to see is really interesting. You must visit it. If you have time before your plane or have time in Belgrade.

Very nice collection of old airplanes from all periods. Also, for 20 Euros you can ride real flight simulator.

it's worth paying a visit, every plane has it's designated plaque with information about it. planes on the inside are in an awesome condition, but the ones on the outside aren't well taken care of. The Boeing 737-800 Simulator is very nice, for people interested in aviation, it's worth paying some extra for it. awesome experience.

A wonderful museum, with some incredible pieces.
Also in a very atypical building.
The collection is on par with some of the best aeronautical museums in Europe, surely in my top 3.
Considering they probably do not have the budget of some of the other museums in the field, this is very impressive.

Great museum with shot down F-117 and F16 during Kosovo war. Many unique planes and helicopters. Definitely worth to see!

Interesting place, lot of planes, helicopters. Outdoor is free, indoor fee is 350RSD, children below 8 years doesn’t pay. My recommendations for aeronautical museum.

Amazing architecture and aviation exhibition (cash entry only - cheap). Starting to show years of neglect but this has little impact on the experience.

The building is not in very representative state, but the artefacts inside and outside are great. I recommend Boeing flight simulator if available

it was a good experience to visit this place, I was happy and satisfied. The infrastructure shows a characteristic and original appearance but perhaps needs some maintenance. Inside there are air vehicles, gear, equipment, armaments. Some of the aircraft are left on display outside and others located in an inaccessible area. Admission is subject to a fee (I paid about 3 euros). Inside there is also a flight simulator with a separate fee. Toilets are brand new. Visited in 18/03/2022.

This museum is a must-see. Lots of airplanes, missiles and weaponry inside beautiful cylinder-shaped building. The outside part of the museum looks more like a junkyard of old airplanes but still this was the highlight of our visit to Belgrade.

Amazing place, must visit when you come to Belgrade! Full of history planes with the story behind each of it. I strongly suggest to visit.

One of "Must see" places in Beograd. If you visit the town, or pass by, I can guarantee you will never forget the time in the museum of aviation in Beograd. It is next to the airport parking. It is in the building like a landed UFO, that you see from your plane. So, if you have time between flights, don't spend it in the therminal. Especially when your kids are around. In the museum you can see planes from the beginning of aviation to the drons of NATO. There are planes and helicopters from WW1, WW2, Korean, Vietnam wars and of course Serbian war in the 90s. It seams some of the artefacts are trophies, so the huge collection is a constellation of mashines prodused by Americans, Britans, Russians, French and Germans. You can see amazing examples of the civil aviation too - Dacota airplane and his Russian upgrate. Yes, the Russians upgrate American planes too.
