A restaurant that is imbued with the traditional spirit of Serbian culture and cuisine.
The food is absolutely delicious and scrumptious, and truly not expensive at all. Although, if you're a vegetarian or a vegan, this is not a place for you, since Serbian traditional cuisine includes a wealth of meaty goodness.
In addition to the ye olde traditional Serbian wooden aesthetic, the place is also decorated with fascinating murals depicting the Serbian countryside to complement the sentiment of the establishment.
Following up on the aesthetic, the service is also appropriately polite and affable, at the ready to answer any and all questions.
The restaurant is situated in an inconspicuous place, away from the city's centre, by the architecturally fascinating Eastern Gate of Belgrade, a trio of brutalist skyscrapers dating from the country's communist era, which are themselves worth exploring.
The one and only downside of the place, and even that is not exactly the fault of the restaurant, is that outside the restaurant, adorning the side of a neighbouring building, is a very disconcerting mural drawn by an ultranationalist hooligan group. The restaurant probably didn't want to paint the mural over, lest they invoke the vandalist wrath of this criminal group. A pity, truly.

Very good ethnic restaurant, one of the best in this part of Belgrade. Authentic interior, polite and professional staff, amazing and very tasty food (with traditional Serbian and Balkan dishes). Highly recommended.

The food is just amazing, I eat here very often. Waiters are very polite. Prices are really fair, this is a must try for everyone.
Definitely get the veal stew or teleca corbica as we call it.

A friend took us here for breakfast to celebrate her birthday. It was awesome. They actually serve good coffee. The vibes are the ones of a non-pretentios kafana where hungry people come for a lot of decent food. You should come hungry. Breakfast size is very big. You could easily split with someone. I recommend "Uštipci", they were really good. Also, they are famous for their "Komplet lepinja". Also great! Don't miss out on their homemade curdled milk. Prices are really fair, and below average.

I don't know if the names of these dishes can be translated into English and how they will sound, but I will try (with the original name).
Leskovac shaker (Leskovačka mućkalica),
Turkey with noodles (Ćuretina sa mlincima),
Pulled pork (Drpana prasetina) and Baked smoked ham in horseradish sauce (Zapečena dimljena butkica u sosu od rena).
The ambience is in an ethnic style and the dishes have a phenomenal taste and are highly recommended

Super professional and knowledgeable waiter, lovely atmosphere, with traditional music and decorations.
Food was so good, especially " Jagnjilo ", which we couldn't get enough of and the bread they serve was the best I've eaten in a while.

First time visiting this place and the food was really great, portions are pretty big and the prices are ok. Waiters are polite and professional. You should try meal "slonovo uvo"

Beautiful outdoor seating area under an oak tree and a chestnut. Attentive and friendly waiters and stellar local food. The gulash is a must try!

Great food. Staff is friendly. Reasonable prices. Highly recommended if you like local cuisine since they have grandmother's corner with some dishes from Old Herzegovina. All people with that DNA type know the meaning, and they can enjoy ... 🍻

Great place for a nice lunch.
Traditional food is served and meals are quite nice with some nice touches.
Topeno sirenje is the best starter you can have. From there you can continue with veal soup and slow baked lamb(ispod sača).
Portions are big and be carefull not to overestimate yourself when ordering.

Salalds could improve in quality of vegetables in them. Mala Zvezdara has set some standards in that area.

Staff is great, one of the best in Belgrade.
Atmosphere is nice, could be better but only if they change location.

One of the best restaurants with home made dishes, excellent service and a great atmosphere. I will certainly come back again.

Update: Overall tasty food and good service but minced meat was not cooked still red inside, and espreso was bad ( maybe coffee brand or machine not clean)

Not so good ventilation, but smoking is allowed. Excelent food, though. Also, domaća (turska) kafa is perfect.
