Uvac Special Nature Reserve

Pure nature. The lungs of Serbia. A beautiful national park with a large number of hiking and mountain trails. Lots of content for rest and recreation for you, your children or your friends. An amazing place. Definitely worth a visit the boat ride through the canyon is especially breathtaking. If you’re comfortable to hike then hike to the top of the Gornje Lopiže peak to see some scenic beauty.

A must visit at least once in your life! Climb to the viewpoint, which is not easily accessible, although there is a path to it. You must also visit the Ice Cave, which can only be reached by driving through the canyon.

The truly unique and magnificent destination of southwestern Serbia where more and more visitors come. Untouched
nature, caves, lakes, endemic plant and species and the last refuge of almost extinct birds - griffon vulture, are just
some of the things you can see during a visit to this natural reserve.
I definitely could sit on the hill and watch this beauty all day long. The griffon vulture eagles are so many so I couldn’t even count. It was definitely one of the highlights of my trip to Serbia.

Stunning and wild nature. We got there by car and then took a boat to reach the viewpoint. It is a beautiful natural reserve, the boat ride was cool and the guide was telling lots of information (in Serbian), the hike to the viewpoint take 15min or so. Would recommend it.

Amazing place. Little bit difficult to get to, bit worth of it. NATURE is still preserved, but one can already see impact from an arrogant and ignorant people. Right time for visit.

Literally a piece of heaven of earth! Breathtaking view at the top most point. We were guided by the owner of our airAir BnB to the topmost point of this beautiful river. The drive was a lil bumpy after a straight drive. But not risky. Enjoyed all the landscapes and scenic beauty until we reached the top. And from the top we were spellbound! The pictures says it all. Beautiful and unique landscape! I did this trip by joining the tour group (with tour guide) through travel agent in Zlatibor. The trip started at 9am from Zlatibor, about one hour van ride to the boat jetty at Uvac. Boat trip took about 1 hour and then hiking for half an hour to reach the spectacular view. The trip also included monastry visit, cave visiting and also vultures viewing.

We ended up taking a boat trip to explore Uvac which was quite stunning to see from the river perspective, however as you can see by several photos you really get a sense of scale when looking from above. Uvac itself is one of Serbia's most beautiful treasures, also incredible to see the Vultures circling above!

Beautiful nature reserve, with several great viewpoints. Habitat of unique vultures which are magnificent.

Recommend a boat cruise, the one we took lasted about 4 and a half hours, with visits to the Ice cave and to one of the viewpoints, where we climbed for about 1 kilometer up a very steep mountain path, but it was well worth it.

Managed to drive up there in a regular car after some rain in April. I would only recommend doing that if you are a confident driver. Phenomenal views as expected although the water level looks lower than normal. This is a beautiful place!

Beautiful landscapes with lake that offers unique opportunity to see griffon vulture in Serbia.

The Uvac (Serbian Cyrillic: Увац) is an international trans-boundary river, rising under Golija mountain and Pešter plateau, then flowing through southwestern Serbia and cross into eastern Bosnia and Herzegovina where, after 115 km, finally meets the Lim river from the right, however, before it empties into the Lim, for a 10 kilometers Uvac forms the border between two countries. Also, while meandering through Serbia, Uvac loosely makes the northern border of the Raška region too.

Super place! Unforgettable experience, just is really hard getting on the top by car, the nation should invest on the road.

Amazing! Suggestion to take the boat ride from Raskole, cave visit and the continue to hike to Molitva.

This is best place for visit in Serbia, but not easy to drive there.that dog wouldn't bite you, he just want food.:)

Unique experience in a beautiful place. Slow boat ride let's you soak in the views. If you're lucky you'll see eagles flying above you.

While in Uvac, plan to visit the Ice cave and it's stunning features. Also, hike to the top of the canyon and see from above how the lake swirls around.

You can finish the tour with a dinner on the lake, just ask your boat operator.
