Rakovica Monastery

Very nice, pecefull place.

The place is fantastic and very well renovated, there is a brand new car park where there was a lot of space which is very good! inside it's a good temperature, not too hot or too cold! It is a small and nice shop where you can buy candles and orthodox things! There are even free dresses for women and scarves white they forgot so they can be covered up. If you are in Serbia, you MUST check it out!

Amazing Monastery, friendly and lovely people. If you like to meat Serbian calcure, visit Monastery. Try the Monastery products and cold spring water it is so refreshing.

A gorgeous convent monastery. An Orthodox Christian sanctuary where it's very easy to meditate on God and pray.

Beautiful monastery. Calm, nice, a little away from the city center but not too far to visit.

Beautiful place. Serene and calm. You can cover yourself, there are wraparound skirts and scarves at the entrance

Such a powerful and peaceful place to visit (as a believer or not). Has a special meaning since our beloved late Patriarch Pavle is laid to rest on the Monastery grounds.

Amazing orthodox temple. You can rest and buy some souvenirs. Some of the most important patriarchs are burried here. You should definitely visit and pay your respect.

God so much loved this world that he give his only Son that who ever believes in Him do not die but even when he passes away in Christ has eternal life. Church is Body of Christ and this Monestery is home of people dedicated to serving Christ.

Base of tranquility. Very peacefull place with old architecture. On weekends and orthodox hollidays it can be very crowded, but still you can feel very peaceful and calm atmosphere.
Men cannot enter in shorts, while women cannot enter in skirts above their knees, and in trousers. Also they need to cover their hair.
On site you can borrow scarfs to cover while inside for free.
There is a big parking in front, so usualy there is no problem to park.
Right in front of the monastery there is a bus station taking you from and to city center.
On the opposite side of the street there is a spring water, that is believed to help with variety of illnesses.
No matter you are orthodox or not, this is one of the places near Belgrade city center to visit, and see part of Serbian heritage.

Quiet peacefull place...

Old Monastery located at peaceful place with a big parking lot, also bus 47 🚍 station is in front of monastery. There is a grave of one of serbian most loved church leaders Patrijarh Pavle.
