Elizabeth Park

Wow! What a surprisingly impressionable and well-maintained park this is, in such a pleasant city. Grateful that life's circumstances brought me here, and many thanks to you wonderful locals for creating such a beauty in this world!

The park is festively decorated, and near the Christmas Fair!🎄🎅🕯
Carols are to sing on our little stage during Advent.
The skating-ring is going to open.

🌼All year-round, it's cared for, by gardeners.
Beautiful contrasts acchieved, by chosen flora! + fauna-squirells and songbirds found shelter on the treetops.

There are exhibitions of photography/architecture/some artform, as a cycle- for - surprises.

There are public restrooms, too, free to use and clean + several fountains to drink from, some, to marvel at as: art.

+ A bike care-station - to look for, when, in trouble, Cyclists!

(The park is: a Kid's Paradise during warmer weather - with rentable, electric toy-cars and a playground with slides, swings, even a Bouncy-platform, for jumping around in safety- provided by nets.)🤸

For parents, there are benches to rest on, and a private house - for changing dipers if needed.

☀If only, during the summer - people are indulged with walk-in sprinklers and a summer caffee with seats under tents.
/ice-cream and soft drinks are sold as well.

Florists - sell their creations.💐
There are churches to go to, in the vicinity.
- or to hear their bells ring to remind us: of time passing.

On the regular-
🥤🍿..We have cotton candy and lots of delicious snacks at two vendors

❄- roasted chestnut is best, to buy during cold weather and hot chocolate (I should think).

Kürtős/chimney cake and, scones with different toppings are sold as well.

⭐Right on demand, we have an assigned evergreen, by the fair, decorated fully in lights as our christmas tree, this year! 🎄

(For-🙌 all contestants, are well-cared-for-trees, there was no dispute, the one, of last year, wore it best.)🕊

Forest-like park in the middle of the city. Different kinds of birds you can enjoy to watch, listen to their music and to make pictures of them. There's a man-made lake as well with a bridge on it.

Usually neat and clean, a great place for a walk. Plus points for having a free public restroom.

Beautiful park in the town center of Saint George where both families and couples can enjoy an afternoon or evening. I can recommend it to anyone, including tourists. Easy access to all of the lanes for wheelchair users also.

Awesome little park. Cool and quiet, yet with places for food and drinks both inside and around the park.

Very nice park with a small waterlilly lake.
Next to the park was the monthly held craftsmanship fair where people can buy pottery, jewellery, clothes, cheese, kürtöskalács & a lot of other hand-made things.

Cozy little park. Skating and biking allowed, ice cream, popcorn and flowers to buy available. Beautiful little lake and well maintained flower specialities. Lovely for walking, playing outdoor chess or readin. Library nearby.

Calm, silent environment. Great for any outside activities. There are flower markets, boutiques and Cafe-bars :) definitely recommend

Beautiful. Quiet city away from Western tourist crowds. Site of open air concerts and events

A great park with a lot of natural shade, many activities for children and a few places to taste the local specialities Kurtos and Langos.

Nice playground, clean washroom,

Nice place to visit. Lake with fish with a brige across from where you can watch the fish swiming. Playground for the children, places to have a meal, a drink. Trees with shade, but sunny places, green grass, flowers. It's in center of the town, with easy acces.

Very cute park. Smaller in real life than in pictures, but still worth the visit.

Very clin and wonderful place...

An oasis of tranquility with a rather nice little outdoor place where you can serve a beverage, coffee, drinks or ice cream. They even have Leffe blonde beer draft which is rather uncommon.

Nice and clean city, had not much time to visit all but the central park is nice, they have a small lake with big and beautiful waterlilies. Recommend visiting.

Annually, the city celebrates it's patron, St. George. It happens in the last three days of the week, somewhere around 23rd April.
Elisabeth park gets crowded with salespeople and viewers. All kind of candies, foods, handmade objects, events, concerts, kids playground and much more.
The park gets alive and there are fireworks at the end of Saint George Days.
