Hotel Posada Vidraru

Wonderful experience. Room was cozy, warm,clean. Service was impecable, expecially at the restaurant. Breakfast can be improved for a 4* hotel but you don't starve. They have an issue with the internet signal and the POS works on and off, which can be disturbing. Scenery is breathtaking especially in the morning. It is worth a visit.

Stopped here for dinner. We were here a few years age, before it's renovation. Now it is a really smart hotel by the lake in amongst the mountains. The lake being formed by an impressive dam. The restaurant here is excellent. Well worth a visit.

Very good food, we took the trout with mashed potatoes and was delicious.
For desert we took pancakes with jam and again they were delicious.
The highlight of this place is the view... The absolutely stunning view over the water. The restaurant has only glass walls so you can enjoy at the max the beauty of this place. Besides this awesome restaurant they have also a terrace place just above the water which makes you wanna stay there the whole day

Located just near the Vidraru Dam, the Posada Vidraru Hotel has one of the best views of the lake. The atmosphere is very warm, staff also. They have also a kids playground, for the ones needing couple of hours of rest. The restaurant has a great view, it is full of natural light. The food is overall good.

We stayed for one night, when we decided to pay a little bit more for the last night of our trip. The staff was really friendly, and this was the only place we saw serving food until 22:00 (decent dinner). Rooms were very clean and comfortable, and wifi was the best we had in the trip (again, we were used to lower level hostels). We had a broken door knob in the bathroom, which they couldn't fix immediately. We didn't complain because we didn't care too much, but on checkout we got a discount. The location is obviously great.

I was many times at Posada Vidraru Hotel just for eating. The food is delicious, good services and fair prices. I recommend

I stayed at this hotel for a night with my mom this week-end.
We found it very clean, comfortable and loved the location.
Nice design - minimalist style - with beautiful colors: the furniture is on white while the carpet and chairs were a mild orange.
The beds are very comfortable - I have back problems, so I highly appreciated the hard mattress that kept me out of pain.
The room was warm and cozy and we had a home feeling while we were in. I appreciated the fact that we had a fridge, as some hotels with more stars do not.
The view from the room was spectacular, we had both the lake and the forest with a bit Transfagarasan Road at a glance. It might get noisy during heavy traffic summer days, but for April was just splendid.
Nice breakfast spread. We did not use other facilities, but the wellness center gave me a pretty good impression overall. Internet signal on floor 2 was rather poor, but we went there to relax, so it did not bother us.
The staff is not overly friendly but they are polite and accommodated well all our requests.
In general very good value for money compared to similar conditions in other countries. At least 5 times less pricey

Nice place to stay for a short or long period near the very large beautiful lake Vidraru in the heart of Romania. The hotel proposes comfortable suits and awesome view on a forest and a lake. Delicious national and European kitchen, wide range of wines and desserts. There are some dishes for vegans. Parking places are limited. Near the hotel there's a Vidraru dam, tonnels for walk and ride. The hotel provides a boat trips for additional payment. Highly recommended!

We had a great couple of days here in April. Great for exploring the local area and driving up the transfagarasan...as far as the waterfalls at this time of year. Has a great outside area over looking the lake (from which we saw a bear swimming as we had a cigar) and our room was as well. Rooms are smart, clean and modern and the staff were attentive. It was really quiet when we were there which made it nice and relaxing at all times. We had a flat tyre when we were there and the team at the hotel offered to help change the wheel! Enjoyed the pool tables in the evening with a beer.....or 3.

Very good food and and ambient! Everything is setup in a most pleasant way, service is spot on, prices are very decent you're getting more than your money's worth! Afinata on the house! Get the bulz! Maybe stay one or two nights, nothing to regret or complain about! Very recommended!

Perfect hotel for your vacation! The service is very good, the food is delicious, the rooms are very comfortable and all the hotel is very cosy and clean. There is everything you need for a good weekend. We enjoy every time we visit it. I recommend it!

AMAZING HOTEL.
The rooms are very clean, daily checks by the housekeeping staff. The view is breathtaking, breakfast is clasic. Food was really good as well as the staff friendliness. Congratulations on the perfect service!! 10

We have been there only in the restaurant and it was awesome! In October most of the places are closed, so we got here unexpectedly to eat smth fast. A waiter offered us two kind of soups which were been prepared. Soup with turkey (ciorba cu curcan) was perfect, even I don’t prefer soups usually. Donuts (papanasi) were great too. And really unexpectedly for me a perfect cappuccino! It was mild, not bitter and with perfect milk foam.
We were alone in the restaurant with amazing view towards Virdaru lake. Service was perfect. Highly recommend the place. Reasonable prices.

Great location, great services. We stayed in an apartment at the top floor with 3 small kids (below 6 years old). The room was spacious enough for us and the view over the Vidraru lake was great.

Beautiful place in a beautiful location.
Easy check in and free parking. The parkinglots were very full though.
Staff was very polite and helpful.
Great restaurant with local specialities.
Everything is also great value.

Recently had a short break at hotel posada and I was more than impressed! As for the location,stunning lakeside views, a short dander to vidraru dam and ideal for any one wanting to relive top gears transfagarasan road trip! The hotel itself is clean and we'll presented and has friendly, helpful staff with tasty food. I would 100% come back here again...I even got to see a wild bear during my stay!
