Brukenthal Summer Palace

I love this place. It is very quiet and full of flowers and plants. The food is very good and the staff really friendly.

We had a friend getting married here and we came for a two night stay. The room is very spacious and well equiped with everything you need, it has an old style interior but very nice. The location is very green , outside it is a big domain where you can walk around and see other buildings/museums. Highly recommend!

This hotel is a Romanian hidden gym. The service is phenomenal and the food is great too. The only downside is people enjoy the venue so much that the parties often last late into the night and the sound proofing on the rooms isn't the greatest so music does spill over into your ears.

We ate at the restaurant and really enjoyed the delicious food and atmosphere of the open and blooming garden. The waiter who served us, a young guy named Aurel did a wonderful job. He knew
how to tailor each one of us a dish to his taste and also helped us in every matter and question. Recommended place.

Everyone spoke about the hotel and the restaurant. Please visit the Saxon exhibit, the glass museum and the gardens of the Palace. Also assist to the restoration of the main palace uphill from the “Orangerie”. It’s a wonderful place and a lot to learn about the romanian saxons and about the glass factory from Avrig, one of the oldest in Romania, dating back 450 years.
The lady and the gentleman, guides to the place were wonderful, helpful and so nice to talk with. They really add warmth to this stunning place in Transylvania.

A wonderful place, relaxing and peaceful, perfectly restored rooms, the park is gorgeous, the farm, the pool and the playground are great for kids, very good food, very good service, the kitchen might need some extra employees, especially for the crowded weekends. The old palace and the gardens need some restoring. Nevertheless - a majestic place that calls you back! We had a wonderful time!

The restaurant has a high class kitchen, with kind and helpful waiters.
Do not hesitate to go there if you want a quite place for having a glass of wine or a plate of tasty food.

The hotel looks really good both outside and inside, everything being newly refurnished but keeps the old vibe there. I had the 4person room and there were missing some sheets and a pillow, called the host and they were brought to us rather quickly. Everyone was friendly and made us feel welcomed. It's one of the best 2stars hotel I've ever visited.
The breakfast isn't included, but they have a restaurant with amazing food! Good coffee, good food and an amazing view, plus the clean air. It's an amazing combo for a good time.

We really enjoyed the place. It looks glamours and tasteful. A lot of greenery around. Everything was very elegant and vibrant. Staff is friendly and helpful. A perfect place to travel with children. They have several big gardens and some historical buildings on the territory. Rooms are spacious and cozy with beautifully arranged interior. You won't regret staying here.

What a wonderful flowery place in the heart of Transylvania! We enjoyed our first week in Rumania in Palatul and our expectations where big time exceeded. The food is tasty, fresh and creative without a billing shock - absolutely perfectly balanced. The room was amazing and absolutely made our stay special. Last but not least, the staff - wow! Especially Aurel and the service staff create an atmosphere we won't forget. They always know how to get the right approach to all kind of people, most of them - especially Aurel and the younger guys - know English very well and create with charme, service orientation and motivation a very high standard of service! Thank you for the fantastic week!

While the place needs reconditioning and renovation its charm is undeniable. The restaurant is also reminiscent of its Austrian Hungarian Empire inheritance. The staff is extremely friendly and the food very good. They also have a most adorable dog 🤭 overall a very pleasant experience.

This place is one of the most beautiful places in Sibiu county. The garden is very beautiful. I like the way they renovated some buildings of the palace as well. And the food is so delicious!! The menu includes such a healthy and fresh food. Friendly and gracious staff! I fully recommend it ; )

Great place to have a nice lunch. And if the temperature is warm, the terrace is perfect to really enjoy the day. The service is very professional and the waiter that took care of us, named Aurel, was excellent.

I've just been there to visit so I'm not sure how the rooms are but everything else is just nice to see if you like historical places...For me is just a way of travelling in the past and actually see how amazing the people were in that period....A really nice place for a visit 😊 👍....

We organized a business event there and everything was great:
- the food was excellent
- the service was impeccable and the staff really took care of each guest
- the management was very flexible with our (changing) requirements

Overall, a wonderful experience and I highly recommend it to all!

Very nice place with welcoming staff and a superb garden. Most of the renovation is incomplete and the grand plans are promising, given a few years the palace will be a fantastic little summer resort. It is also very affordable for us Americans.

Great location, fabulous views, amazing people. Amazing garden, amazing terrace, fantastic room with the most comfortable bed.
The receptionist offered me a great discount on the spot and made available a 4 stars room for the price of 2 stars room. His way of handling things made me feel like a VIP.

It is an experience you should not miss whenever you are near Sibiu or Avrig. It is a relaxing walk through a part of the romanian history and traditions. Great place and great way to pass a few hours walking in the palace-s park and having a traditional drink at the restaurant inside.

This place is improving. Lots of workers during day but they still have some work as it is huge. Based on location they can probably fill all rooms at this price.
We were satisfied with food, rooms and service. Staff are kind but most lack english skills. We had no problem communicating thou.
So, 5 stars from us.
