Arboretum Park Simeria

Beautiful more than 300 years old botanical garden hosting hundreds of species, native and from all over the world. It has ponds, streams, a river and extends to the mighty Mures river.
74 hectares of pure pleasure. Visited on the 15 th of April, on a tours with The Saxon House.
10 lei the entrance (approximately 2 euros)

Amazing place to visit if you love long strolls through the forest. They have a large number of old impressive trees, as well as some lotus ponds and roses. Best period to visit would be spring and early summer as most trees bloom then. Also, there are a lot of benches for resting and tables to have picnics on ;)

Beautiful garden / forest with lots of birds chirping and diverse trees. A lovely place for a relaxing walk!

Nice place to stroll around. One of the largest of it's kind in the country. The downfall is that is not that maintained. You can feel you are still in the backyard of a wealthy owner in the 1800's.
Entrance price is ridiculously low, about 0.90 eurcents. I haven't seen a ticket purchase so low since a long time ago.
L.E. prices have increased recently but not outrageous. Still a great place that usually is avoided by people with kids and ones that look for something "special"

I am happy for finding this beautiful and peaceful place. The park us huge so you have to take half of day to visit it. Make sure you take something to drink/eat because there is no place to buy anything there. A sunny day will be perfect for this. Enjoy!

On the way to the Hateg Bisons nature reserve we decided to stop in Simeria and visit the dendrologic park. It was a pleasant surprise as we didn't expect to find such a wonderful wild park so close to the city. It is big ,well maintained and you can spend hours walking the park paths. I recommend you stop if you like walking out in nature.

Park is huge, and beautiful. I recommend to take your time and have a pleasant walk through the park.

Awesome park. You can easily spend 2-3 hours in it due to it's shear size. While the entrance is from within the city, you are thrown straight into a huge forest with hundreds of tree specimens. There's a parking space nearby ( free ). Greenhouse is not open for the public. There are bathrooms near the entrance to the right.

A hidden gem in the heart of Romania. If you are visiting Castelul Corvinilor and want a short disconnect from tourists, this place is what you are lookimg for. Allocate 2 hours for a complete visit of the park and if you want you can bring a swimsuit and take a bath in Mures river. The trees are imported from Canada, USA, Japan and China.

Heaven on earth, if you are in the area, come visit nature at it's finest.

Exquisite place ... could be more toilets (as opposed to approximately none) ... a bit more maintained and organized ... but the word is "exquisite" ... if you love nature ... you should reserve a lot of time ... in terms of days ... if in a hurry ... at least several hours
