Cherhana Pontica Mamaia

A rather hidden place if you just pass by but once discovered it is an unexpected location near the sea shore. Great food combined with a great view of the sea.

Delicious food by the Black Sea, very nice waiters and a great service. I felt like in my grandparents garden. We recommend Cherhana Pontica and we will come back here for sure 🙂

If you are passing trough Constanta and Mamaia, this place is a must visit.
If you want to have a great dinner, a reservation would be ideal.
The food is cooked very fresh and the portion sizes are quite large, while the prices are quite fair.
Eating here a fish platter with some chilled white wine, on the Black Sea shore is a great experience.

great location, good food. Its not as expensive as others cherhanas on the seaside and most likely just as good. Will definately come back next year.

First of all, nice location by the sea.
The menu offers a large variety of fish (Danube or Black Sea as well as ocean fish) and seafood. We went for dinner and ordered four different items. Amm were very good, fresh and properly cooked. Yhe beverages selection was very good, mostly regional amd from other areas of the counyry.
The service was also good.
Definitely a place to recommend!

Food delicious, very calming&relaxing atmosphere. Great place for kids. We enjoyed a late lunch on the beach, the kids stayed in the sand playing the whole time. A great choice foelr a Sunday gettaway with children!

If you have the misfortune to find it full which happens almost all the time or find the "slow team" you gotta wait a looong time to eat but its worthy.The food is amazing specialised on fish dishes,very large portions and a lot of choices along with a very nice choices of wine.Stood 4 days here,returned every evening at this place to eat.
Update: Camed back after 2 years, they upgraded the beach tables and the team,waiting time went down a lot and the food remained the same AMAZING food ,I stood 10 days there and went every single evening to eat there,I will definetely return again

Ate the best fish in town for a good price. Super fresh, crunchy skin and super tender inside. The service was good. Recommended us only what was made in-house.

Very friendly staff. Fish dishes are at least above average. We received an extra appetizer plate as our order was late. No complaints on our side, though... Proactive staff 😁. And an extra bottle of wine. And amaretto digestives on the house.😀

I was in june and in august 2020 and everything was excellent. I enjoyed the restaurant and the staff and the food. Just one thing. They need to have more fish stocked in the kitchen. Otherwise great experience. Better not mess it up guys. I trust you.

We recently dined here on a Saturday evening and were blown away by how wonderfully quiet it was. It was the perfect date spot for us with fabulous food and superb service.

Great food. The waiting times tend to be a bit longer when crowded, but that's because the food is freshly prepared. I recommend the Romanian palinca, the fish soup, and the mussels
