Bio Moșna

We traveled a lot in the past 15 years but we never experienced such amazing stay. Starting from the perfect accomodation and ending with the most tasteful and best cooked meals we ever had in our lives. Lavinia is an amazing warm person, kind and polite and (sorry mom) and best cooking chef we ever met! We cannot recommend enough this truly amazing and unique experience! Our lives and hearts changed after two days at Bio Mosna! With love, Razvan & Cristina!

I stayed here for three nights to attend a wedding nearby.

The property is in a quant and peaceful place set in a small farm in the countryside.

The room is renovated very nicely with lime render and some of the original features retained.

Lavinia is a very warm and welcoming host.
She prepares excellent food using local produce from her farm. This is done with care and passion.

I would definitely recommend this experience.

Lavinia and her son welcomed a group of 15 of us to lunch, consisting of produce from this charming farm and the surrounding area, including delicious tomatoes, cheeses and meats, sourdough bread (the best we’ve had in Romania) with home made zacusca, chutneys, and all decorated beautifully with fresh flowers from her garden. We ended the meal with a delicious apple tart with her own fresh cream. A truly memorable visit.

We arranged with Ms Lavinia for a lunch on a Saturday as we were arriving in the area. The house is beautiful with a micro farm which she also presented, impressive innovation to make things simple. There is tradition in living there for over 20 years, not one of the people recently moved from the city that start also doing tourism. The hospitality was great! We enjoyed the food, local seasonal dishes, large quantities - chicken with lemon and leek, potato pie with pork fat, roasted vegetables, beetroot salad with nuts, homemade bread and cinnamon rolls, plus drinks. The price was on the high side for a meal and compared to some similar places, but fair for the quantity and quality, also pleasant dining area and atmosphere.

What a hidden gem! Lavinia, the owner, is such a wonderful host.

Her cooking is full of flavors and with a lot of attention to detail. Her stories are beautiful, we could have talked to her for hours.

Just a note: Check on Airbnb, Bio-Mosna has a beautiful apartment you can rent and enjoy the whole gastronomic experience from breakfast to lunch and dinner.

Lavinia and Joel are amazing host, they went above and beyond to make sure our stay is perfect.

Visit Lavinia before this property hits mainstream media and the big food guides, this is for sure something near Michelin selection in my opinion. All ingredients are from the farm and 100% organic and Lavinia is the most underrated chef I met.

We stayed here for 4 nights with a 2year toddler. For now you need to bring your own baby cot + chair.

Excellent food made with love by a very nice and talented owner. All food was homemade with ingredients from their farm. Lavinia even makes special vegetarian dishes which are super tasty. I can wholeheartedly recommend to visit when in Transylvania. It was a great experience! Thank you Lavinia.

We had the privilege of experiencing a private lunch at Bio-Mosna in early September. The property and setting are absolutely beautiful. Everything we ate was prepared with love and care by Lavi Schuster with ingredients from the farm. The tomatoes were the most flavorful tomatoes I’ve ever had. The cheese and charcuterie board was incredible. Every item on it was so beautifully presented and tasted even better than it looked. The bread was freshly baked. The zacusca (eggplant spread) was superior to any other zacusca I had in Romania. There was chili jam and rose petal preserves, and basil and mint lemonade. The fresh ingredients made all the difference. The main dish was a slow cooked special breed of pork called Mangalica (again, from the farm) with potato dumplings made according to an old Austro-Hungarian recipe and a decadent tomato cream sauce. And dessert was perfection, pears in a caramel source with cream and a pumpkin seed cookie. It was the most beautiful and magical meal and experience. I dream of going back.

The best that a rural authentic life has to offer! A wonderful family, a cosy and welcoming home, a delicious and healthy food. Thank you, will come back!

Am fost la un “mic dejun”, neavand mari asteptari. Trebuia sa ma gandesc mai bine 😊. Oameni extraordinari, prajituri foarte bune ( sau cel putin ce am incercat eu- cea cu pere) si o cafea cum rar gasesti ( una dintre cele mai bune cafele gustate de mine), peisaje superbe.

Bio-Mosna a fost pentru noi una dintre cele mai frumoase experiențe departe de casa. Am tot călătorit de-a lungul anilor mult, însă nu am găsit nicaieri o gazda atât de autentica, atât de caldă și primitoare precum Lavinia. Ne-a pregătit cea mai gustoasa mâncare pe care am mancat-o, desigur totul bio, crescut și pregătit în gospodărie, a împărtășit cu noi povesti și sfaturi, ne-a făcut să ne simțim ca acasă.
Sincer, consider că cei care îi trec pragul sunt niste norocoși că au șansa să o cunoască și să descopere alaturi de ea și de familia ei, un stil de viață autentic romanesc, simplu și trainic pe care îl promoveaza in cel mai frumos și sincer mod pentru oamenii din toată lumea ce ajung aici. Nu ai cum sa pleci de aici altfel decat fericit și recunoscător!

Tres bel endroit. Paisible village campagnard, famille tres acceuillante et attentionnee. Cette table d'hote est reputée dans toute la region pour la qualité des produits (principalement des produits du jardin) et de la cuisine (Lavinia tient boutique depuis 20 ans). Reservation necessaire!!

Wir haben einen wunderschönen Abend bei Lavinia verbringen dürfen. Sie ist eine tolle Gastgeberin, die es versteht, ihre selbst produzierten Lebensmittel in leckerste Gerichte zu verarbeiten und diese in einer traumhaft schönen Kulisse zu präsentieren.
