Restaurant La Ponton

I've been going to this place for years with my parents, and it never ceases to impress! The live music, the waiters, and the food quality are flawless! I really recommend the fish soup, as it's a special Romanian dish that you just must try. My American boyfriend adored it. It is, indeed, a bit on the pricey side, according to Romanian standards, but it's actually very decent for a foreigner.

The food here was always good and tasty. Fish soup, fried fish, grilled fish, and so on. I have not tried every item but I hope they are as good as the ones I tried. The prices are medium, definitely not low so be prepared. The staff was always friendly, asking if everything is OK for us, which is a nice touch.

An excellent place to enjoy great food and a large variety of fish dishes, beverages and drinks. Service is excellent, the personnel is friendly and open helping you choose, the atmosphere is great.

This is like the must go if youre in Giurgiu. Is a very nice place on Danube with great food fresh fish coocked in every possible ways and styles.
Orices are mire than reasonable and service is good. Great view and atmosfere all together. Dad gommit, do not miss this place if youre in the area. You gonna love it buddy for sure mkay?

This is definitely my favorite spot in the city. I love their fish dishes, the view is gorgeous and in summer you can enjoy a beer on the roof. I would give it more than 5 stars if I could.

Yes, somewhat slow service, but it’s well worth the wait, the food is great. The open parts of the restaurant are a bit windy, you might need a jacket or a blanket. Lots of parking spots available.
