Iași International Airport

We were diverted here as Moldovan airspace was closed last week. The airport itself was straightforward to navigate, with instructions in both Romanian and English. We cleared through Arrivals rather fast for an airport, there are plenty of taxis and transport waiting outside to take you whether you wish. The entrance to the main airport has toilets, a small shop, and check-in reception. Departures was relatively quick for an airport, there is a small Duty-free shop, along with a small café, toilets, and a small indoors smoking pod where up to three people at a time can have a cigarette inside. In total the airport is a lot quicker than most, although I do not know how things will be once the new terminal buildings will be opened in 2024.

Small arrival terminal but the plane is quickly processed through customs. Go out to the right and order an Uber or Bolt ride there which is your safest and fastest option if you don't have any transportation. In the future you might have more options because they are building a new terminal now (october 2023).

Good service, clean place, nice people but the conection of wifi is verry verry bad. Was great that there is a place where you can charge your phone, while you are there waiting for your flight you can read a book if you know romanian language. There are a lot of books. This 2 things are verry useful. Great!!!

The airport is small but getting better every time I go there. Staff is polite and helpful, had no issues. Areas are mostly clean or in the process of, stores are just a few but handy.

Convenient for Moldovans. If the T3 is ever crowded, you can find space to sit in T2.

Taxi to Iasi is about €5

The airport is tourist friendly and extremely convenient for transfers in the region. The small size makes it really easy to use. The flights from Bucharest are some of the best short flights out there.

The airport is very small for the footfall, but I have given 5 stars as they are trying to rectify this by building a second terminal.

After the new runway was build, this tiny airport became a big player in Romanian airline business. With also a new terminal, much larger than the old fashion T1, it's a good gateway for Romanians to visit the world and also for foreigners to come and visit Moldova.
