Nice mall. Prices high for this country but at least genuine. A safe haven, because outside on the street, oozes criminality. I'm surprised I'm still alive. I walked into the country over the bridge from Brazil. No passport shown even. What a mental city! Thank you shopping mall!

The most luxury mall in Paraguay 🇵🇾

Paraguay day trip update:
We did a day trip over the border to Cuidad del este today. We took an Uber from Foz centro up to the border crossing. We followed the locals to the border. Making sure we went into immigration as they all walked past. We walked across the bridge. Stopped for the stamp in at immigration.
The plan was to Uber out to the dam where I had a reservation but my phone wouldn't work. (Verizon, international plan, has worked in Bolivia, Chile, Argentina, Brazil with no problems - not sure why it didn't work there.)
The shops start almost immediately. Monalisa was very hip and busy with shoppers. We wandered the stalls a bit. Just past Monalisa on the main street we found a local cafeteria - full of people being served cafeteria style. We had two plates from the buffet, two empanadas, and a large beer for 56 brazialian real. (real accepted no problem).
Super easy and worth 1/2 day for those wanting to add another country to their passport county.
Note: The plan was to tour the Itaipu dam ( reservation needed). But since my phone didn't work, we couldn't use uber and we decided to just check out the shops).

What a beautiful shopping. I think it's expensive in comparison with other stores around. But it looks trustable, and the people gives you excellent attention.
