Centro Geodésico de Portugal

They say the virtue is in the middle. I don't know if the axiom apllies to all countries. But Portugal exact geodesic center is right here and is true. To mark the spot the authories create a view point and a museum.

Visited two weeks ago ,great views ,nice little museum and yes several options for coffee or ice cream etc .

Excelente place to park, view and be for awhile to enjoy the center of Portugal

I found this place while driving along the N2 highway just north of Villa de Rei. The road leading off of the N2 rises quite high in altitude. From this point you have a majestic view of Portugal in all directions. You really feel as though you can see into all corners of the land. It was an amazing and dizzying experience for me. I loved it.

Great place to visit, very steep hill for the RV to go Up but it's worth it.
As most places in Portugal very quiet, not crowded and very safe.

O centro geodésico é um marco e respectivo museu que assinala o centro do nosso país.
A cerca de 600m de altura e uma visão fantástica de 360°.
Com início da sua construção em 1802 merece uma paragem... Qual a sensação de estar no centro de um país? Intrigante como naquela altura (sem as tecnologias de hoje) já conseguiam avaliar de forma a determinarem este lugar como centro do pais. Vão ao museu, comam qualquer coisa e aproveitem a vista...

Paisagem Espetacular, já há muito que queria visitar, calhou bem com visita à SERTÃ, provar o Maranho da Sertã este local é de paragem obrigatória...
