Castelo de Linhares da Beira

Nice, free entrance, great view, can climb on the castle wall at some areas.

Love this place and I visit it quite often as I live a 20 minute drive away. It's a gorgeous village with it's magical location and castle! There some wonderful walks on the surrounding mountains, special the one on the Roman road and the one to the view point; not to be missed.

Part of a group of historical villages in the center of Portugal, Linhares da Beira is a very well preserved Medieval village with a beautiful backdrop of the Serra da Estrela. It's very easy to image the history of the village, be lost in the memories of those narrows streets and be stunned by the castle views.

The Castelo is nice, you have great views on the surrounding landscape. The village of Linhares itself is even more interesting and cute: lots of small roads, old buildings and overall a nice and calm atmosphere.

Very nice castle with an amazing view over the area. You should go there and so not forget top have a walk through the nice and tiny Village around.

This is a very beautiful place. Lots of history. Luxuriously.

Amazing and imposing structure sits atop enormous rock formations. This castle is open to visitors and has a well preserved outer structure. The view from the castle is incredible.

Amazing view 360⁰

Amazing views, nice little shop selling regional wares but restaurant owners were on holiday til Sept 15th (2022). Walk round village was nice too but not much else there. If you like views, you'll get the wow factor from the castle walls. Worth going just for that.

Breathtaking view.

Beautiful place to visit. The views are incredible and the architecture of the village is like no other.
Don't forget to stop at the café by the entrance to get a Ginginha. It will warm your heart when the temperatures are cold.

Beautiful views

Well kept, gorgeous views, quaint village. Worth walking around to venture throughout its beautiful cobblestone roads. The warmth of the people makes you think of living in this region.

Exquisite views and the castle is in good shape. The town is made up of old stone buildings. Very cool to walk around!

Very nice view of the surrounding area. Tower was closed, unfortunately.
