Beautiful trail with amazing views of cliffs, caves, and the ocean. The trail is not too difficult. There are a few spots that require stepping over some large rocks, but otherwise, it's a very moderate trail. If you enjoy hiking and spectacular views, this is a must.

Spectacular trail along the coast. Parts of the trail are fairly challenging, but they are spread out and there are many places to stop and rest if you’d like. The views are amazing. There are several times you can exit the trail for restaurants/bars if you need a snack and/or a bathroom, usually 3-4km apart.

Pretty cool park I dig it!

Definitely bring hiking shoes and watch out because some cliffs don’t have any fences

Definitely don’t sit on the edges like we saw some people do ✖

Lovely trail to walk. We parked at the main parking area and walked the 6/7km route to the hotel (end of trail). We then took an uber back to our car. Try and get to the start of the trail early morning, to catch a stunning sunrise. I'd also recommend trail shoes instead of regular trainers, as the paths are gravel and sand, so can be slippery at times.

Stunning trail along the cliff side.

So many beautiful places to stop and take pictures. Absolutely loved walking along here and got some amazing photos.
Highly recommend even for a short distance.

This hike is incredible and can't be missed if you are in the Algarve. End to end it's about 4 miles and takes four to six hours to complete (with stops for pictures, breaks, etc.). The trail has some rocks and hills so proper footwear is a must. It's possible to section hike, but you'd be missing out. You can do it solo and there is no entry fee. There are two toilets and one at the end near the beach parking lot. Avoid on a very hot day or after a rain storm. About 3/4 of the way through you can buy snacks and water.

Beautiful trail along the cliffs! This is really a wonderful stretch that passes by some amazing rock formations. You can walk for hours back and forth and the landscape, although similar keeps changing and the views are stunning.

We did not but you can also carry some packed lunch with you and enjoy your lunch with lovely views. We spent around 3 hours on the trail from Praia da Marinha till Vale de Centeanes but it was literally mid day so the temperature was also really hot. The time you'll spend here will probably depend on your level of fitness and how many stops you'll make to take pictures and enjoy the views.

This is one of the highlights for my trip to Portugal.

Summary: Easy hike with beautiful views… MUST DO!

Longer: We were hesitant to come here after spending 45 minutes at Benagil caves, but in my opinion this was better. The hike was only <10 minutes to get to the best views (though you could walk much longer), with gentle trails. The combination of rock faces, unique formations, and crystal blue waters visible from the lookout was once-in-lifetime.

Great trail along the cliff edge seeing amazing rock formations, sink holes and caves from above.
Car park at start, but no Motorhomes allowed so we parked up the road, 10 minute walk.
We enjoyed the walk it has some more challenging areas as you go along and we had seen and walked enough by the time we go to the lighthouse. We walked up the road to find a nice place called coffee house restaurant for lunch in Praia do Carvoeiro, near the Richa Brava Resort. We then decided to get an Uber back for €6 😀

Beautiful hiking trail! The views were stunning. We walked from Carvoeiro to Praia de Marinha.

There are a few trail markings (yellow and red parallel lines - if they're in a cross shape, you're going the wrong way!). However occasionally it was a bit confusing to know which way to go (although luckily the trail is pretty popular so you can often just watch where other people are going..!) It unexpectedly rained on the trail while we were walking, which was a little scary because the trail became a bit slippery, and some of the trail is just loose gravel pathways right next to huge cliffs. We just stopped for awhile and then, after the rain stopped, took it very slowly and carefully until the sun dried the trail again. Ideally you need a moderate level of fitness because you need to occasionally scramble up/down rocks etc.

Wear good shoes, bring a rain jacket or little umbrella, a hat, sunscreen, lots of water, a few snacks. Might also want to bring a towel and swimmers if you want to have a swim at one of the beaches. We bought some sandwiches but there are also places to eat along the way (eg, "O Stop" at Praia de Vale Centeanes).

There are toilets at Praia de Vale Centeanes, Benagil, and Praia de Marinha.

We planned to get a taxi/rideshare from Benagil, however by the time we were leaving (around 6pm), everyone else at the beach wanted to get a lift home too, so we got a bit stranded. We ended up walking about 30 minutes up the road and ended up managing to get an Uber eventually.

One of our favourite Portuguese hikes. Stunning views pretty much always. The hike is very well known and therefor can get quite busy, especially in the weekends. It’s supposed to be the best of you pick a sunny day, as the colours will contrast more

Breathtaking views, you can do just part of the trail or all of it. I highly recommend it, mostly easy walk.

Take this trail and enjoy the ocean, cliffs, sky and nature.
Definitely do this trail and you won't be disappointed.
Along the way, stop by one of the cafes and enjoy a drink as well.

Wonderful trail along the cliffs where you can admire plentiful of rock formations, arches, stacks, sinkholes and coves.
I hiked from Praia da Marinha to Praia de Benagil and really enjoyed.

Incredible views from the trail. Absolutely stunning. Bring water and a hat though, as there’s little shade.

Its a great place for a hike but you need to be extremely careful with your steps as it can be dangerous walk. Some parts are very slipery due to the loose rocks and gravel. Do not bring children. Bring trekking shoes no slippers. If you slip you will end up in the ocean. Most part of the circuit has no barriers. I had the trek circuit on my gps, i found without it i would get lost in sone parts as the circuit in some places is not well market and you might end up going on somw dangerous parts.

Beautiful hike! We parked at Praia da Marinha and hiked from there to the Benagil cave. It was a little over 2 miles to get there and back. We didn’t want to do the whole 7 miles. Come early for parking because it will get insane and plus the trail has hardly any shade so better to start early before it gets too hot.

It is very beautiful you can’t miss it if you are in the area! This was a hike I took on the last day of my trip and the group I was with didn’t do it but I went at it alone and I absolutely have no regrets!!! If you do it solo know that it feels safe in the trail during daylight hours. I only did 3 km roundtrip. The trail isn’t marked well so I would suggest downloading ALLTRAILS app and finding the trail to help guide your path. There are a bunch of mini paths on the trail so it’s easy to have a hard time figuring out where you are going, especially cause it’s a very hilly area you walk on. Wear good walking shoes too because the grip at times, especially slightly off the trail, can be a bit rugged. If it’s a hot day definitely bring like a Big water bottle like I did.
