O Garfinho à Portuguesa

If you're looking for local, typical Portuguese food, well served, with a smile at a great price, this is the place! A group of us around 10 people visited for lunch and had the plates of the day. Bread, olives, drinks, a well served entrée, even with the offer for a little bit more 😀, plus dessert and coffee ☕ for 10 euros. I had the Bacalhau com Broa (salt cod with cornbread) it was excellent. I look forward to returning!

I was lucky enough to find a parking space then even luckier that it was in front of this place. No regrets, the meal of the day included cod with cream and potatoes and it was delicious. Staff were friendly and the price was good.

This place was an incredible value. Large portions, very tasty, and they serve what felt like very authentic, unfussy dishes. Excellent staff, and a bright, modern interior. We were shocked by how low the bill was. Meals for €8-€10 and only €2 for a half litre of good white wine! Muito bom!

This place is awesome! My husband and I ate there like kings for 20 Euros! So tasty and fresh, authentic Portuguese food. Much better than the food in Lisbon.
O Garfinho is the place to eat in Coimbra.

The best place to eat in the whole downtown of Coimbra, if not the city! Amazing food and place, very nice waiters, and a full meal will cost you less than €10. If you want to try typical portuguese dishes and are in the area, in my opinion, there's no better place you can eat at.

We had a wonderful time here being new in Coimbra and im sure the next time i visit Coimbra i will see myself again in this restaurant😃great service fantastic food and a satisfied tummy. Thank you guys👍🏼

Restaurante com uma decoração muito atual e simples, bem localizado em Coimbra, staff muito simpático, comida espectacular e com menus de 10€ ao almoço, com entrada, sopa, prato, bebida, sobremesa e café, que nos tempos que correm e no sítio turisco onde está inserido, não era de esperar encontrar, os meus parabéns, á noite serviço à carta com preços normais .

Se tivesse possibilidade de dar 6 estrelas, dava mesmo 6 estrelas! Totalmente recomendado. Uma vez hospedados no Vila Galé, logo na primeira noite decidimos jantar no Garfinho. Poucos minutos a pé e muito tranquilo para lá chegar. Confesso que não esperava o que encontrei. Muito bem decorado, sem música ambiente e cheio mas mesmo assim sem aquela algazarra se barulho que as vezes torna uma refeição bem penosa. Felizmente tivemos de esperar muito pouco tempo para sentar. Após feito o pedido, aguardamos aproximadamente 25 minutos. Mas valeu bem a espera. Maminhas e secretos foram a nossa escolha e que bela escolha. Belíssima confeccionada e saímos de barriga bem cheia, acima do que desejava 🤭😁
Doses...bem... escolham qualquer um e são muitos bons.
Só para ter a certeza que tinha sido uma boa escolha... voltamos no dia seguinte para almoço e jantar 😍🥳
