Mal Cozinhado

We had a nice evening at this restaurant, the food was well prepared. I liked that there weren't too many dishes on the menu and I made a quick selection. I ordered the octopus and salad and my husband ordered the meat and salad and soup. While our order was being prepared, we sampled an snack and wine. We enjoyed everything, especially the live music (live fado).

This beautiful restaurant is a MUST VISIT in Porto! The new and fabulous owners have taken this gem and made it shine. The food was truly spectacular (get the duck rice ✨), the service was wonderful, and the fado musicians were excellent 👌. We would recommend this establishment to all who come to Porto and we hope to be back soon!

Best food we had in porto! Completely worth the money as you get the show an appetizer, wine and dessert. We ordered traditional Portuguese food which was beyond my wildest dreams. The açorda was my favorite, every bite was amazing. The ambiance was outstanding too the fado was phenomenal, so good they almost made me cry! I am beyond thankful we got to see this place

We had a great time at Mal Cozinhado for a Fado and dinner evening. We decided to go with their art meal which included a generic starter board, your choice of main ( we had the duck and rice, and the fried veal, both very good), choice of dessert, a bottle of wine and still water and including the Fado show. This works out well, despite we had a 30% discount option if we went a la carte ( you will have to pay a flat €fee each for the Fado show). Location is by the river front, easy to find, and easy to get a taxi back to hotel if you walk up to a nearby square. We booked for 8:15 and the Fado singers starts at 9pm. On the night we were there, the evening had 3 singing sessions, we stayed only for 2 as we had to leave at about 10:15. Mal Cozinhado is definitely one to go for, the restaurant interior is very charming with traditional decor and touches. Really nice and friendly manager and his team, explains the menu well. Highly recommend.

The place is charming and great to experience Fado music in an intimate setup. The food was really good and the Fadistas have great voices and crowd pleasing!

We did a traditional Fado show dinner here and it was absolutely fantastic! We made a reservation for a group of 12 a few days before, which I recommend making a reservation for big parties! We had an option to order al la carte off the menu OR pay 50 Euro for an appetizer board, a main course, a dessert, and unlimited water and wine, which also included the show! If you do al la carte off the menu, you also have to pay an additional 10 euro for the show, so I highly recommend just doing the 50 euro package! All the food was super great and the Fado show was incredible. I’d recommend this place to anyone for this great experience!

The Fado music was fantastic. The food was really good too . The menu however needs a bit of work as the translation to English isnt that good and it's a bit confusing. Thank goodness the server spoke English.

This restaurant was recommended by my hotel. The entire experience was great. The music was very soulful which included a variety of performers and sound. I enjoyed my meal. I started with prosciutto and melon followed by the codfish with onions. Beware of the bones. The peppers were good but I wasn't expecting them to be cold on the plate. The mash potato looking item I thought was avocado so my expectations were already misplaced. Overall very flavorful. I stayed through all performances and was surprised at the end with a birthday serenade from the performers. The hotel had informed them it was my birthday when they made the reservation. It was a great first night and birthday dinner in Porto.

I went there with my sister and... new shoes. When I arrived to this amazing restaurant, sculpted downstairs in a stoned cave , my feet were just blisters themselves, in such a pain I could hardly walk. The waiter, The Best Waiter in the Universe, not only brought some plasters but the personally dressed my wounds! That made my night to enjoy the food and get a bit emotional with the Fados.
Five stars for this awesome restaurant, a bit pricey, but no entry ticket is required so one thing for the other, and five stars plus to the stunning waiter.

The food was unequivocally bussin (no cap). The staff were friendly and accommodating. They hooked the homies up when we needed it most. Would recommend 💯

Cozy restaurant with fado show. The interior has a cave-like setting which was good ambiance for the 3 different singers accompanied by the same guitar players. The service was friendly, my sausage starter and grilled fish main followed by chocolate mousse were all very tasty. Prices are high (spent just over 50Euros incl. 2 glasses of wine) which is acceptable considering the show lasted 3hrs. Each singer offered their CDs for sale, and were very gracious when being declined. I really had an enjoyable evening:)

I was unsure of this place based on reviews, but it was way better than I expected after having low expectations. Initially we got there at 8:30 PM and nobody else was there. A little twilight zone vibe going on, but after another 15 minutes others filtered in and music started shortly after 9 and it was ok. The food and drink was a little pricey, but the price includes the singing performance, which was very enjoyable. We had a shrimp appetizer, the tornado steak, a mixed salad, and the petite gatot (chocolate cake w/ ice cream). All were tasty and would recommend them.

It is a must seen and experienced moment, great clutural music and songs. Singer were excellent but the place left us an impression of touristic atmosphere rather than a typical porto life style evening.
Price are definitely for tourist !!!
