A hidden gem in the Ribeira district just next to the river Douro. The restaurant is small but it is definitely worth waiting for a table or being at the door when it opens. The food consists of authentic Portuguese cuisine, more specifically we had tamboril na cataplana which was delightfully tasty and also we enjoy ourselves with a pure grilled fish, the robalo grelhado. Very kind people working delivering an impeccable service.

First of all: make a reservation.
I went first and did not find a table, so i made a reservation, and everything went smoothly. The place is very small and it is always busy.
The owners are super nice, so the service is great.
Prices are incredible for the quality and size of the plates, which is just the right one
We ordered bacalhau and the special of the day as well as rice with seafood. we also ordered almond cake and cheesecake for dessert. Being honest. The taste was good, but i was expecting way more since the place has great reviews.
I totally recommend going either way as the experience will be amaIng and prices ate unbeatable. We were 4 people and ordered a plate each, 2 desserts to share, bread, and a bottle of wine and ended up paying $17 each person

It’s a small place so reservation is probably recommended. I showed up early so they were able to seat me. I appreciate their accommodation of solo traveler. The lady was very nice. But given how small the place is I felt pretty guilty so I ate quickly and ducked out. I had the cod fish with vegetables and potato. It’s a lot of food so I couldn’t finish all the potato. Reconstituted cod is usually a bit fishy but I loved it. The chewy texture is amazing and loved the bed of potato that soaked up all the juices.

Authentic, incredible Portuguese food! It looked unassuming from the outside but we were so glad we stopped. One of the best meals I had on my trip was here. The Shellfish stew and the Portuguese sausage were mind-blowing. Aside from the delicious food, the 3 people running the restaurant were so lovely!

A magnificent local spot, where you felt the love in every dish. We went with a Portuguese friend who knew what to order, and he didn’t steer us wrong. The wine was phenomenal, a douro valley red. The cod fritters were absolutely delicious, not greasy at all. Reminded me of the best hush puppies I’ve ever had. And the octopus was tender, buttery, and simply phenomenal. It was our first night in Porto but we may just be regulars for our entire stay.

We just popped in for a drink/beer. We ordered cheese, ham and bread to go with it and we were charmed. Great place! I heartily recommend!

Go and get the grilled octopus. We got it for 2 and couldn’t keep the other two in our party out of it. Theirs (sole and squid) also good, but the octopus.... so good. Friendly service, great prices.

4.5 - great sea food and cake. An only thing to avoid is vegetable soup, completely without taste.

Perfect!
What to say...
The good is good, the portions gigantic, the price cheap.
It's more everyday food than restaurant food, so don't go there if you're looking for something fancy.
The couple doing the service were very nice and quite quick.
The restaurant itself is very quaint and cute witch lots of coins on the walls and bills on the ceiling, and odds and ends all around the place.
Since the place is rather small, don't come too late during the meal rush or the place will be full.
