This is a local restaurant and run by a family. My guesthouse staff suggested me and it was really worth it. The service is excellent.

I was alone so I didn’t have chance to try as many dish as I want. The octopus was fresh+tasty and go well with the white wine. I ended the meal with dessert and it was a joyful night for me.

This place is amazing: small restaurant with just a few tables, very traditional, friendly staff and amazing food.
If you are in the mood for some simple and extremely well cooked dishes, this is the place for you! In our short stay in Porto we visited the place twice, ordering different dishes and being happy with them all.
Also a good selection of regional wines.
Senhor Romeo has been working there for the past 41 years and it’s great to talk to him!

Looks to be a family-owned mom and pop shop with awesome food and fairly priced. The black pork cheeks and grilled seabass was divine. The grilled veal was also amazing. We had almond cake as cake of the day and it was so good we ordered another one.

Definitely go here over the restaurant next door!

Small intimate restaurant, recommended by Rick Steve’s, with good reason. Portions reasonable (meaning just right). Bread delicious, service friendly. I like that they had half bottles of wine as an option since a full bottle is too much. My grilled octopus was perfectly cooked. Husband liked his seafood pasta. Splurged on dessert which was also great. Highly recommend.

All the dishes were delicious. I highly recommend trying the octopus in green sauce and the codfish cakes. The service was excellent, and our waitress even provided us with some fun Portuguese lessons on pronunciation.

We had a great experience here! The service was quick and friendly and the food was amazing. We had cod fish cakes and baked octopus and everything came to the table hot and fresh! It’s definitely a place you have to look for on purpose with the location, but worth venturing off the main streets for!

A Grade is such a little gem tucked away on a pedestrian alley in Porto. The food was delicious, fresh and very accessible. Plenty of options for food, dessert and drinks. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. We definitely recommend it!

Cozy atmosphere, quick and friendly service.
The dishes are delicious and worth the wait, if you find a queue outside.

Little place off the main area, a little hidden. We went for lunch and the service and food were lovely. Bread, grilled sardines, seafood pasta and fried fish were all very good, as was the wine. I asked about the red pepper sauce in the seafood pasta and not only received an answer but also some interesting history about the peppers! Our waiter encouraged us to practice speaking Portuguese which is great when you try but are not too confident. Highly recommend if you want good food in a quieter spot.

Best seafood stew. The octopus salad has the best potatoes. Seafood pasta was so good! There was a bit of wait but the staff members are very attentive. Highly recommend!

It was real home style meal from porto! I visit here twice and all visit were good. Octopus is best, and rice also good. Please order house white wine! it is perfect with food. When dinner time, reservation might be necessary.

We visited A Grade restaurant last week, our first day in Porto. Every dish we ordered was bursting with flavour and made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The menu also included a great selection of traditional Portuguese dishes and wines. The prices were very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes of the food. Nice atmosphere and kind staff as well. Just be prepared to wait in line!

The seafood soup with the spicy sauce apart is to die for. Its been months and I’m still thinking about this soup, I highly recommend it. The rest were okay, good. The staff could be more friendly but I would definitely go back for the soup!

We tried rabbit, baby goat meats and they were really juicy and tasteful (the rice that came with rabbit was fantastic by the way). Octopus is also very well cooked and soft. Definitely recommended

A wonderful little place, tucked away in a colourful alley. A couple of tables outside that are perfect for a summer evening. The menu offers several delicious appetizers, most are fish and seafood. Fantastic main dishes out of the grill, fresh and full of flavours, and some recipes of Portuguese tradition. The staff is friendly and polite. Easily the best fish in Porto, hands down. The prices are honest, and the quality is excellent.

A gem of a place. Authentic Portuguese cuisine. Well priced wine list. We had the crispy fried sardines, and cod croquettes to start, then braised pork, fried sole, and steak with the most amazing French fries.

We got here around 9:30p our first night and was the last table to be seated before closing. This is a little bit off the main waterfront area in a little alleyway but it was super cozy and perfect! We ordered the green salad, fried sardines, seafood rice and baked octopus for the 3 of us. Everything was amazing! I’d definitely recommend the items we ordered. The owner/cook was also this older gentleman who was extremely friendly and gave us tastes of both the red Porto and white Porto before giving us our glasses!

Excellent roasted octopus. Hidden up in the alley a little bit so it’s quieter but you can’t see the river. Very good service. Run by a family.
