Suprisingly restaurants in southern Portugal has no vegetarian options, unlike the ones at the more developed regions near Lisbon. This restaurant also does not have a vegetarian option, but the staff is so kind that they made it for us!
They speak english fluently!
The restaurant offers great wines and they have Superbock on tap!

O'Joao's never fails to provide excellent food, in lovely surroundings and with the best staff in the Algarve! Thank you Nick, Joao, Ângela, Fábio and the rest of the team for looking after us - we had a wonderful meal.

It is the first restaurant we eat at when we come back to the area and always the last place eat when we leave

We had a well prepared, well presented meal.
Nothing fancy, but tender and tasty.
Compared to UK restaurants drinks are cheap (a pleasant glass of wine for €1 - €1.5, a drinkable bottle for +/_ €6)
Service was attentive, polite and patient.

Great Portuguese night out to be had here. Staff are always super friendly especially as we have a little one. Food solid & they do a lovely Vinho Verde on tap. It’s packed out so if you arrive late you may need a reservation. Have been a few times now.

Excellent restaurant. Wonderful service, open kitchen and overall wonderful food. Especially the fish soup and the Cataplana where outstanding. Also you do have to eat one of the freshly made desserts. It was a pleasure to have dinner with You!

I don’t have the habit to leave comment but tonight I can’t keep quiet. This place is great! Excellent service, all staff are adorable and pro, the food is excellent, generous portion. The deco makes you feel at home... well... just try it! And I’m in general quite picky

There is no vegetarian or vegan on the menu jet, but they make it if you ask.

The menu is simple but good. The atmosphere is relaxed and the staff is really friendly. Really value for money. Next to that, seeing that the place is busy with a lot of returning customers is a very good sign.

Great place, excellent food, friendly staff, and very clean.
This is a place to go If you are near Guia and looking for the traditional “frango á Guia” or “frango da Guia”, or any other Portuguese dish. The food here is awesome at a very decent price.

Fried babyscuid with chips and a salad, wine and a dessert.

Wonderful in every aspect, superb food and service, reservations recommended on busy nights & Sundays. Specials are great and reasonable. Avocado/shrimp appetizer is good.

Has had a total renovation inside and outside really light and nice. At lunchtime it is ful at 12.20 so be early! Nice people and good food! A lovely place!

100% service and a fine coffee to end the lunch.

Wonderful fresh seafood. Enjoyed two maxing dinners here. Great service and wine list too.
