This restaurant is truly the heart of the town of Azeitao. This is where locals go to meet other locals. It is also the first place the tourists see in the center of town. Next to the central plaza with the strange, giant, grape bunch, all Roads lead to this place. It has a restaurant and a sort of café. Both are excellent. Often places like this have second rate food but this is not the case. Pick an amazing meat or fish and it will be cooked for you on the spot. But if they have one of the Portuguese specials definitely take advantage. it could be your Portuguese grandmother cooking. If you had a Portuguese grandmother.
Not to be missed! And eat a torta de Azeitao if you like the extra sweet eggy stuff.

The front looks unappetizing but when you go thru a little entrance on the side of the building it opens into a nice court with a outdoor BBQ. The wine was very refreshing and the food tasteful.

Utterly incredible food. Knowledgeable staff. Cheap! Fed 9 for just over €100 euros. Would recommend the black pig. Simply amazing.

We got the the grilled pork. Fantastic! Even the fry’s were excellent, which is unusual in Portugal.

Very cute little Café. It’s nice to sit outside, listen to fountain splashing in the background and enjoy the vibes of Azeitao. If you come here you should try the “o melhor bolo de chocolate do mundo” (best chocolate cake in the world - it really is).

Fantastic dinner venue, in the most central part of Azeitão. Don't be fooled by the vernacular appearance of the coffee shop at the front, the dining area sits around the back, with both garden and indoor sitting.
With long running tables, the atmosphere is casual and packed with tourists "in the know"

A really cute restaurant and the waitresses are friendly! The food is really good. Perfect spot for fish and meat but nothing really for vegetarians. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Old-fashioned place with really good local pastries and cakes (cake with chocolate mousse and merengue was great)

Amazing pork tenderloin, bass, and cod. Fries were the best we’ve had on this trip. Service was really friendly for our non-Portuguese speaking table.

Great for barbecue meat and fish. Seem like a bar or cafe from the front but has outdoor and indoor seating in the back. Their steak for 2 people was massive and worth the 25 euro. Pork good too.

Had an excellent lunch here with the family on the outside terrace (in the back, not in front which is a small one) covered in green providing some nice natural cooling.

Great local no frills restaurant with traditional Portuguese grilled dishes. The fish and Porco Preto (black pig from the Alentejo region) were wonderful. Highly recommended

Best restaurant in Vila Nogeira. Especially good for meat and steak. Very busy in high season and weekends so book a table a day or two before.
