We were lucky enough to be around when the low cost menu was available to have such a delightful experience. There's an offer of 15€ menu that includes starter, main dish, dessert and drink, which is only available during the first week of every month. There were a few options for every type of a meal and a main dish could have meat, fish or be vegetarian.
First of all, I would like to point out perfect service, staff is friendly, but calm, quiet and attentive at the same time. The presentation of dishes was pleasing to the eye especially for someone who's more used to simple traditional portuguese dishes. All of the meals were delicious and rather light than filling and although the dishes looked traditional, all had an interesting twist to them.
The atmosphere inside is also a big plus, spacious and elegantly decorated, but still simple design. The only downside for me was a slightly uncomfortable proximity to other visitors while dining.

Wonderful knowledgeable staff. The food was excellent!!! The staff was amazing and the restaurant was so accommodating to our large party of 11. Lovely atmosphere and vibe. Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

It's difficult to describe the emotions after visiting this restaurant... It's truly a high-end dining experience, where you get pleasure from both admiring and tasting the dishes. To say that it was simply delicious or beautifully presented would not do it justice. It's like discovering new sensations and flavors that you never knew existed before.

You can choose between meat, fish, and veg for your app and main course. For my app, I got a creamy leek soup. For my main, I went with the fish (pictured) which also came with a side of tomato rice. Enjoyed it all.

Also the olive oil that is served with the bread is very tasty.. :)

This restaurant is absolutely amazing! The atmosphere is magical! The service is outstanding and the food - wow! Recommending everyone to go here if you are in the area :)

We travel for food! Cais did not dissapoint. We were only available on Sunday and luckily in high season they are open😍. Impeccable service, very knowledgable and passionate. Great dishes at reasonable prices for Michelin quality

Very nice restaurant. Nice environment and decoration. Staff was friendly and effective, not amazing. Quality of the food we experienced was very good. Deserts equally good and different (original). Just be prepared because it is an expensive place.

[09/2018] We went in this restaurant and it was very nice. We took cocktails wich where good, starters, main course and desserts that you can see on the picture. Everything was really good. It is mainly french cuisine.

Expect a bit of delay as the food is fresh and cooked with attention to details.

About the prices we had 2 cocktails, 2 starters, 2 main courses and 2 desserts for 100€. It is pricier than average in the city but the quality is definitely there.

I totally recommend this restaurant if you love fine food.

Warm welcome and nice pleasant atmosphere. But most important: excellent food! Very tastfull and matching wine recommended by the sommelier. Friendly and skilled staff. Absolutely the number one in Vila Real and surroudings. Price might be slightly higher but certainly not expensive. Very recommended!!!

Built inside an ancient deactivated train station, you find an ellegant and pleasant environment, top class culinary and excellent service. The 5 stars of Vila Real.
