This bridge is cool because it is an international bridge crossing from Spain to Portugal. I didn’t really see any rest stops on either side to stop at, I wanted to stop to get a cool picture of the bridge.

On the Portugal side there is a visitor center as soon as you enter. In Portugal the highway is a toll road, although we never did quite figure out how to pay for it. There are small towns on either side of the bridge you can stop at for refreshments.

Straight forwatd instructions. Card operation to register your vehicle, which utomatically picks up your car reg. And charges on toll roads.

This was the quickest and most convenient I've used in my life. You get plenty of warning, with gradual speed limit reductions. You place your card in the machine while it takes a photo of your registration number. You don't even require your pin code. 15s later we were driving along the motorway again.

At this point you have to exit the highway if your are a visitor in Portugal driving a car with foreign license plates. At this location you will insert your credit card in the machine that records an image of your car and creates a register. From then on, everytime you pass cameras controled toll charging devices the proper amount will be computed and charged to your credit card at the end of the minth.

In Portugal is ook een tolwegen betaal systeem. Je koopt een tegoedbon voor een bepaald bedrag en daarmee laat je je registreren via een app.
Na veel vergeefse pogingen hebben we de hulp ingeroepen van dit welkomskantoor in het grensgebied tussen Spanje en Portugal.
Verhaal voorgelegd en hulp gevraagd. Werd goed ontvangen en geholpen door de medewerker op een zaterdag. Voorbeeld van klantgerichtheid en hulpvaardigheid.

Keine Ahnung warum hier so schlechte Rezensionen stehen. Es war total unkompliziert. Kennzeichen wird automatisch gelesen und hinterlegt. Kreditkarte (Visa) ohne Probleme angenommen. Quittung und fertig. Sache von 2 Minuten

Tavira es un lugar precioso para visitar, tiene mucho encanto y todo está muy cerca, como para ir andando a cualquier sitio. Se come muy bien y no está mal de precio.

Punto de información, donde te lo explican todo a la perfección, con amabilidad, cariño y muy profesional. Desde luego si andas perdido, es el lugar adecuado para que te informen de todo lo que debes hacer.
