Marie e Oli’s & Marie’s Bistro

We had a delicious lunch here provided by a lovely couple. Service was 5 stars, so was the home cooked food, which was both creative and tasty! Try the spelt bread, its delicious! Will come back as soon as we can! Thank you for a great experience!

This is the 4th time that we have been to Marie E Oli’s restaurant. We keep on inviting new friends to join us there!

The outside space is very cosy with a relaxed, slower-paced atmosphere. Marie is very friendly and is on-hand to share her knowledge of the menu, giving suggestions when asked. There are lots of vegan and vegetarian options available with a wide, varied variety of flavours and exciting ingredients used! It’s so wonderful to be presented with vegan food that isn’t a burger! The elderflower cocktail (with or without alcohol) is great, this time I took the vegan cordon bleu and for desert the vegan chocolate cake. For sure we will be back! See you in April 2024. 💚

The German chef has a very extensive menu with fish, meat and vegetarian / vegan options (in equal proportion).
Everything organic! Gluten-free possible.
Oli cooks great, in a mix of German and Portuguese. Not fine dining, but very tasty. Fish and vegan from 11.50 and meat dishes from 14.50.
Very sweet lady from Ukraine in the service.

We needed a quick vegetarian lunch on our way back to Lisbon and found this little restaurant on Google. Tugged away Between appartement complexes you find super friendly owners and good food! The car can be parked in front of the restaurant (free), it’s nice and quiet. A lot of vegetarian options but also vegan! We had the tapas to share and some fresh non alcoholic cocktails.

A five star experience! We discovered this place towards the end of our stay in Porches and came back twice more before we left town. The menu is extensive and unique, catering to meat and fish eaters, as well as vegans and vegetarians. I was thrilled by the three veggie dishes that I tried, and my other half loved the pork and mussels dish so much he ordered it again. He also enjoyed the cordon bleu chicken. We both loved the decadent tasting (but entirely vegan) chocolate tart. Treat yourself to a special time here, and you definitely won’t be disappointed. Thank you Marie and Oli!

Every single dish we tried from the menu was delicious, from starters to desert, including both vegan, meat dishes and the fish - all were amazing. Complemented by really attentive service and delicious vino verde - would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone and will be back if we find ourselves here again. 10/10 🙏🙏

Had an amazing and delicious meal at Marie and Oli's restaurant. A very diverse and broad menu with vegan, vegetarian, fish and meat options. Enough choice for any kind of diet!

The atmosphere is very homelike and warm with a lot of art placed around the restaurant. There's a great vibe which instantly makes you feel at ease. Music and lightning isn't too loud or bright, but just right.

Almost everything from bread to sauce is homemade from organic (and local) ingredients. You wouldn't expect how absolutely delicious a vegan meal can be!

If you are around the area I would highly recommend having a stop at this restaurant. :)

Excellent options for vegan food. Everything was delicious, the restaurant itself was beautiful, and all the staff were very helpful and welcoming. Highly recommend here for anyone looking for a new foodie experience as they have options we've never seen elsewhere.

We had a great vegetarian lunch there. The menu is half vegetarian (with all vegetarian dishes also available as vegan) and half with meat. The owners, Marie and Oli, are very friendly, very passionate about their food and you can see and taste their care in the restaurant, the service and the dishes.

Awesome experience! You definetly miss something when you don't go there. Portuguese, English, German - as you wish. Starter, Main course and dessert were amazing. We really enjoyed it and can recommend this place! Honest and very friendly owners. Lots of biological and/or regional ingredients, a huge variety of vegan, vegetarian and non-veggie food. Recommendable homemade food.

Super fresh and innovative vegan and vegetarian food (also has meat and fish options). Tapas to start, tofu skewers and Mo's mix for mains followed by vegan dessert plates. All amazing, organic, homemade and such good portions we had to bring some of the dessert jars home! Won't be our only visit. Thank you Marie and Oli.

5 of us say down and enjoyed a incredible meal.
Anchovies, octopus and meatball tapas were amazing. Cooked to perfection.
Home made soup to start with, it was delicious and you could taste everything in it.
But the Cordon bleu was divine. They ran out of Turkey and used black pork instead. Breaded, stuffed with cheese and chorizo...it was so good.
The desserts were vegan chocolate tarte, and banoffee dessert. Both were incredible.
The chef knows how to cook to perfection. The food looked amazing and the service was fantastic.
This place is a must for anyone that likes food.

A fortunate discovery! A cosy food place away from the busy and crowded beach side restaurant and venues.
The space has outdoor sitting in a pleasant terrace facing a calm back alley. Indoor sitting is simple, airy and filled with plants and art pieces by Oli, but also by others.
Food is flexible having a vegetarian list and a non vegetarian list. The main criteria is that ingredients are as organic and healthy as possible. As both owners are from Germany, food has a german taste in the portions and its taste.
Presentation is delicate. Food is abundant. Sauces are prepared in house. Desserts are very recommendable.
Service is friendly and familiar. Both Marie and Oli interact regularly with the clients. Most of the times it is only the two of them, so service is not the fastest. But super adequate for portuguese standards.
The bread is made in the house and is superb, aromatized with herbs, wet and fluffy. One may order a portion of bread to go, with 24h in advance.
Restaurant is adapting rhei achedule to the existing public. But as of now, it opens for both lunch and dinner during weekends. For weekdays it serves dinners only. Closes on Tuesdays.
The menu design is a bit confusing and would benefit from a redesign.

We went there with my husband for my birthday dinner. Great place with many personal touches. Everything we tried tasted amazing. They have many vegan and vegeterian options also. Friendliest german owners I’ve seen so far. After learning it is my birthday, they even brought me a cake. We both had an amazing time. Definitely must try if you’re in the region! 🙂

The best vegan food I have had. I live in London where vegan options are plentiful, but this is the best vegan food I’ve had.

I tried the vegan chorizo, the tofu skewers and the seitan roll. All fantastic. Sauces and flavours were superb.

They also serve veggie and meat options so it’s a great place for a mixed group.

Service is fantastic and everything is clearly done with passion. I want to come back to the algarve just to visit again!

The food is very good. The burger was enough to feed two people. In addition it was full of flavor. It was also my first time tasting a spicy flower hand picked my the cook . Very original and innovative + friendly service too.

I would have gave it more than 5 stars if google allowed.
