Restaurante Fojo dos Lobos

Delicious food prepared from local ingredients, and served by friendly staff. We visited this restaurant as part of our tour in the national park and it did not disappoint. Make sure you try the green wine :)

Excellent food, nice server and good price

The food is great, especially the meat. You should definitely stop buy, there aren’t enough words to describe how delicious the meat is.

Oh my gosh, what an outstanding find! After a 2 km hike, and getting a bit soaked by an afternoon shower, we stopped at Fojo dos Lobos restaurant for lunch. It was the best restaurant experience I've had in many years. The staff was extremely pleasant and we were treated to a cheese platter on the house. The vinho verde was outstanding and so was the food and coffee. Very quick service, nice ambiance, killer mountain views. Definitely a must visit place. Don't miss he Fojo dos Lobos view point either before or after you dine and take a stroll through town. 👌

Local products, grown locally and prepared masterfully. This is a must for anybody that's looking for good typical portuguese food. I highly recommend Fojo dos Lobos restaurant, you will not regret it!

Very authentic place with mostly Portuguese guests. Food was good and the view from the terrace is beautiful. There is no english menu but with the help of the waitress we made it work.

I come here often during work, but I've done the 90-minute journey back to bring my family to eat here because it's that good.

It's hard to recommend one particular dish because I haven't had anything I haven't liked here. If I had to whittle it down, perhaps the posta, a large slab of very well prepared beef, along with some chouriço, a type of pork sausage. Be warned, after you've tried the chouriço here, other ones will seem pretty poor in comparison.

I also recommend the white wine, it's absolutely lovely. The staff are very nice and helpful, and the cook must have divine inspiration when preparing food.

It's also very kid-friendly, my children were very well cared for and loved eating there.

One more thing: people come from far away to eat here, as I am an example of (90-minute drive, remember?). That means it can get full, especially on weekends and holidays, and it isn't rare for there to be a queue. But if there is, queue up because it's worth the wait!
