Fast service, plenty of tables available when we visited at 6.30pm. Both prices & normal frango were very nice. Not our first choice in Guia but we were not disappointed.

We were looking for authentic Portuguese food. This place was amazing.

We arrived at 7:30PM and the place was quiet. There is an upstairs seating area but we opted to sit downstairs. Our server was really friendly.

There is no menu, they just ask if you want your chicken spicy or plain. We started with some bread and olives which was nice.

The main really is the showstopper. Out comes Piri piri chicken a plate of chips and the most delicious tomato salad. It was truly one of the best things I’ve ever tasted.

After this we shared the lemon meringue tart which was more sweet than sour but still lovely.

The whole bill came to €29 including drinks. We were really shocked it is serious value for money. When we were leaving the restaurant was jam packed and there was a great vibe. 100% a place to visit.

Wish I could have visited in person, but instead got it as delivery. Food was outstanding. I am neither a fan of peri-peri nor bone-in foods but even I enjoyed this.
I got peri-peri chicken, tomato salad and fries.
Fries were a little soggy from transport but if a couple holes were punched in I know they'd be top tier.
Tomato Salad was great addition to the meal, a nice cool off from the spice while also standing on its own.
Peri-peri chicken was not as spicy as I expected, extremely juicy and flavourful. You basically get a whole or half chicken, so you get the good and bad. Never a fan of bone in my meals but for the most part it was ok.

Piri Piri chicken like no other, that's all I need to say. Very tasty along with quick service. This place is actually quite large and is also on two floors.

We arrived around 7.30 and the restaurant was quiet. By the time we left 2 hours later it was packed! Both locals and visitors enjoying the Easter holiday meal. The chicken was beautiful and it really doesn't need anything else on the menu! Having said that the desserts are beautiful 😍🍰

Ramires offers delicious peri peri chicken in a fun atmosphere. This restaurant first opened its doors in 1964 and has been a local favorite ever since. With ample seating across multiple floors, it's easy to find a table. The service is fast and friendly. The peri peri chicken is flavorful with just the right amount of spice. It's their specialty and what they do best. Parking is readily available, even during busy times. The decor gives off a lively, casual vibe. Overall, Ramires is a great choice for peri peri chicken and an enjoyable dining experience. I'd highly recommend it!

The town is apparently the "home of piri-piri" and Ramires lays claim to being the first restaurant.

It's a bold claim but after tasting thier chicken with piri-piri oil I'm inclined to believe it.

The chicken was moist and succulent, the salad fresh and flavoursome and the fries light and crisp.

The staff are attentive and courteous and go that extra mile to provide excellent customer service.

I highly recommend a visit if you're in the neighborhood.

Highly recommend the chicken, obviously. Delicious. Amazing service, great atmosphere, friendly staff. Very good value. We have been coming here for decades, a firm family favourite and Portuguese institution!!

Guia is known for many things. One thing that stands out is its chicken. It has numerous chicken piri-piri restaurants, and is known locally and nationally as "The Capital of Chicken". It fact the very first chicken piri-piri was grilled here in this very restaurant in 1974, by José Carlos Ramires. So this place is packing history too.

I was there twice. They never failed to impress with the juicy, delicious chicken. Piri-Piri flavoured and grilled to literal perfection. Waiting times can go upto an hour and a half depending on when you go there.

The food here was so nice, the chicken is exactly as you would hope authentic peri peri chicken would be. We tried the Green wine too and that was lush, this is a must visit if you want authentic peri peri.

This place is amazing. Super fast Service. One of the best Chicken 🐔 places here. Also the price is really affordable.

Amazing grilled chicken with really hot🔥 sauce! Ask for the sauce on the side in case you have kids or don't like spicy food that much. The food is awesome and for dessert I recommend "Dom Rodrigo"

The tastiest chicken made simply with loads of flavour you can't beat it. Delicious meal, chips are really tasty. Desserts are hit and miss - almond tart was a winner 🏆

Amazing piri piri chicken! Deliciously flavored and grilled to perfection. Definitely the best we’ve had during our Portugal travels.
Paid only 15€ for 1,5 chickens plus a massive portion of fries and extra piri sauce. Outstanding service (with a smile 😊)!

First came here 30 years ago it hasn't changed. Apart from the menu, it got bigger, but why use a menu when all you want is the best chicken piri piri and the best tomato salad, chips aren't bad either

Had spicy shrimp; tiger prawns two ways. Everything was amazing. Their special hot sauce is a must.
