Aqua Village Health Resort & Spa

Accommodation is in comfortable one-bedroom apartments. Eat in apartment or at mid-priced restaurant. (No other eatery within easy reach.) Three pools, two of them heated. Spa with a range of treatments. (I would not repeat an uncomfortable back massage experience.). Lawn leads down to stream with craft to paddle. Bicycles available. Prices rise over weekends. Recommended!

The place is really peaceful, especially in November. It's surrounded by nature, which is very pretty, even though it's not as green and lush as it used to be. The package I chose included a massage, spa, dinner, and breakfast. The massage was excellent, in a room that was nicely decorated and had a very comfy bed. The indoor pool had a slightly musty smell, but it wasn't too bad.

The food was a big highlight. Dinner was amazing, especially the starters, the fish dish (Robalo), and the desserts. Great presentation and taste. Breakfast was also excellent, with lots of choices and eggs made fresh to order. The river near the hotel looked shallow and clean, and there were some cozy spots to sit and relax by it. It seems like it would be a great place to hang out in the summer.

Overall, I'd recommend Aqua Village for a quiet, relaxing stay with some really good food.

Huge apartment rooms with fully equipped kitchen, modern and minimalism design! They have 4 pools and private entrance to Alva River! A beautiful restaurant with amazing breakfast buffet selections! Love it!!!

The perfect place to unwind, enjoy nature, and get pampered. Relaxing massages in the spa, wonderful food in the restaurant (get the tasting menu), and impeccable room service.

Amazing place! From the architecture to the surroundings, everything was very well planned! The staff was amazing and super helpful. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable! The heated pools are a great add-on, specially if you're visiting in the winter. The breakfast is also very good and there is plenty to do choose from.

We will definitely be coming back, possibly in the summer to enjoy the river and other outdoor activities.

My wife and I booked a last-minute stay at the resort and spa due to poor weather up in the mountains where we originally were going to stay. The resort was absolutely top notch. We dined at the restaurant each night and the food, wine, and cocktails were extraordinary, and the service was absolutely exceptional. The cocktail presentations were especially impressive - I have never seen anything that compares to be honest. The spa facilities were very nice and we enjoyed using the gym even though it wasn't the most well-equipped. The pools, saunas, and other amenities were very nice although we were a little surprised children were permitted. Each time we chose to use those facilities, small children were present which did detract from the peace and ambiance. The rooms were huge and extremely comfortable.

One of the best resorts in Portugal! We've been to Aqua Village two years in a row and we love it. The environment is amazing, you can relax at the fabulous spa and exercise doing stand up paddle surf and kayak in the river. All the staff is super kind and the food is great! Can't wait to be back again next year.

Amazing place for relaxing a couple days. You can swim on 2 heated pools, one of thermal waters, or on the outdoor pool by the bar. The food is really good and so are the cocktails.

A quite place to rest. Great food at restaurant, they do know how to make icredible cocktails (mojito is perfect)! breakfast is amazing with a lot of choices. Very clean, nice staff and the appartments are very confortble. They have everything u need to cook.
