We were really well received by the staff and they recommended a few different dishes that kept us happy and fueled until the following day. In an amazing location, with a terrace overlooking Douro's river, this is a stop you should spend time at.

Had an amazing lunch on the terrace with home-made alheira (smoked sausage) and fish from the Douro river. They have a nice selection of local small scale but good wines that you won't find in the stores. Joao, the owner, was very helpful in helping us choose the wine, and is also very knowledgeable of the area giving us lots of recommendations for places to visit.

One of the best cooked Zander filet we have ever eaten. So simple recipe. Got the tip to stop there at the end of everything. This was like a miracle. Great service and surprisingly number of people. There is a new road from Sâo Joâo da Pesqueida you don't need to worry. Highly recommend as a tip.

Whilst on a charity hike myself and 4 friends ate here on the 3rd May 2019. Fantastic food, great wine and ambiance with warmth and generosity to match. The owners took great interest in learning about our charity work and were incredibly supportive. Not to mention the stunning location....

A wonderful restaurant in a wonderful setting. Enjoy the piece and quiet of the Portuguese Douro valley while having a taste of their delicious food and wine. Have a chat with the friendly restaurant staff which will make your experience even more unforgettable. You'll be sitting right beside the banks of the Douro river and wish time would stop.

Very friendly staff, wonderful location and great food. The portions are large and very good value. The wine is also great value. A restaurant worth going out of your way to visit!

We had lunch at this place by accident as we were passing by. We ate the local porc leg dish, which was a discovery of the local food culture. Delicious meal!
Staff was very friendly and could express themselves in English.

I absolutely love this restaurant, it's my favourite in Portugal. Well worth a visit. Enjoy the breath taking views of the Douro Valley and sample local food at its finest.
