A lovely family-run restaurant, good local atmosphere, super good service, delicious food, tasty wine. Fairly good price. We ordered several dishes multiple times cause we couldn’t have it enough. Highly recommended.

Food was really good, especially the sweet potato fries with eggs and mushrooms, and the bolo do caco. Quick service. Highly recommended.

The most lovely restaurant in the centre of caldas. We go often as they do the best bifanas around. But the other food looks amazing too. The staff are also so lovely and accommodating. Thank you

Good food. Pleasant and friendly staff. Usually full so do try to book in advance. If possible you would want to stay outside in the summer as the room is hot and I'm pretty sure you'll want to stay inside during winter, although I've not been there in the winter. Traditional food with a twist. Well cooked. Not overly priced. Nice selection of starters. You may end up eating just that if you order enough of them.

Very good food: in addition to various tapas/snacks, the dishes of the day are quite tasty.
The dessert with egg, cinnamon and almonds ("number 2"/"second option", as I called it after hearing it in second place) is worth a try.
The old space, in my view, is much more immersive. Some details are reminiscent of the stories I heard from the last century.

A local gem with charmig straff and good food. I especially recomend the fryed Mini squid in Light batter! We ate All the little Tapas!

We ate here in April 2023. What a lovely experience. We found it by chance when we were wandering around Caldas looking for a dinner place. Highly recommend it - excellent food, service was friendly, the place was casual and very decent prices. We particularly enjoyed the burgers and the mushroom side dish. Cute decor and patio.

Great little bistro in the middle of Caldas da Rainha. Whether you want a meal of the day, a small steak or even some lightly seared tuna steak. Nice vibe and atmosphere.

Yesterday we sat at the Casa Antero bar. In 2015 I celebrated my birthday there. And I was there a couple more times. The place is well located. Downtown. Cosy. We were treated very well. We ordered a bottle of wine for two. Another friend was supposed to join us later. We started drinking. The very attentive waiter said that he would take the bottle into the refrigerator and refill our wine. A friend came. The waiter carefully came up with a bottle and refilled our wine. It was nice. And then they brought us the bill. We looked and there was a surprise. We were shortchanged by more than 4 euros. And the bill included a bottle of wine plus two more glasses. He were topped up with wine without warning that our bottle was empty. It was unpleasant. I have lived in Portugal since 2007, but this is the first time this has happened to me. I won't go there again.

Our favorite go to spot in town is an absolute pleasure and consistent in all categories. Family owned and operated for 60 years strong, the tapas are fresh and delicious along with an unrivaled wine selection representing every region in country. Round it out with the best service you could imagine or hope for and you have this local favorite that will not disappoint for another 100 years.

Always a pleasure to have great food on an alleyway. Booking in advance is recommended because the place is popular and not too big.

Despite being very busy when our group of 6 had a meal here, the service was excellent.
The food was even better and reasonably priced.
Well worth a visit if you're in Caldas da Rainha.

The food is very good, I think the fries and sauces are made by the them. The prices are very low, I ate a plate of chips and a burger for 7€. The service is friendly and there is nice music and decoration inside. Drinks cost 1,50€ which is pretty damn cheap, I‘ve payed 3€ before for a can of coke. I recommend coming here.

This restaurant was recommended to us and we were very lucky to get a table. The food is typical Portuguese. Very tasty. I had Bife na Caçarola, cooked just as I asked. We also have petiscos. We will be returning in the near future.

Wow, the food is always great, and the selection of wine is absolutely outstanding. You will love it no matter if you go for lunch, dinner or just for a glass of wine by the counter. ❤

Every time we visit Caldas, this amazing place is a must go to - we always have lunch there at least once a week. It's a small place, but it's worth it. Try everything you can because everything is delicious! The choice of wines - and they also have them by the glass - is superb. And the desserts... yummmmmmy! And the staff... very, very nice!
