Excellent food and service. Ordered the duck rice & cod gratin on recommendation and we were very pleased with our lunch. The starter was really good too. Very convenient spot opposite Casa de Mateus and very friendly staff too. Also have a good selection of wine options in the shop.

We stopped by for lunch. The salad was made with fresh ingredients and was delicious. Codfish was so good and creamy. The service was also excellent. Highly recommend.

Walking into this quirky, quaint little souvenir shop come restaurant I had little expectation. I was blown away by the service and especially the food. I've not had a steak that was so tender and cooked to perfection in a long time. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone and everyone. What an experience.

I recommend you to taste the typical cottage pie (with smoked meat).

Excellent food, great local experience

This is a really lovely place to eat, the staff are efficient, friendly and helpful, the food is excellent and well priced. There were 27 people in our group for lunch and every one was served their food within minutes of each other and it was hot and very tasty. Highly recommended!.

Really good lunch- decent price, nice people

after the mateus palace visit, we stopped by this place. The female server is very sympathetic and knowledgable. She gave lots of hints about visits in pinhao and regua. food and wine are good and price is affordable. Can definitely recommend!

Great food, reasonable prices. The restaurant is really nice and the service was great. We had several appetizers and they were great, fresh and the prices were fair. I can recommend the steak with Port wine sauce. It was delicious. I wasn't sure as this is next to a tourist hot spot but it was a gem. Highly recommended.

Really nice food and staff. They sell a good range of port and gifts. Definitely stop for lunch or dinner after a tour of the house and gardens.
